Great Grotto Workshop barred

So been leveling a forest gnome in the great grotto. I've been able to enter the workshop that is in the svirf village multiple times over the last week. Now any time a non svirf tries to enter that workshop they get the message screen of it being a private quarter. Was there some sudden change made that wasn't announced or is this bugged?
