Description of Bug Experienced:
I tried to enchant the Climb skill onto some stuff and it wasn't available as an option.

Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Put thing into basin. Go to the skill bonus options. Read 'em all.

Expected Result:
You can enchant Climb onto gear.

Actual Result:
You cannot enchant Climb onto gear.

As you can see, there is no Climb.

Additional Information/Notes
I thought the main reason for making Climb into a skill was so that you could enchant it onto your own gear. I just want to be able to climb the Dark Spires without needing to phone a friend y'all please help an 8 STR 8 DEX sister out

Buy some climb equipment? There are Vendors with that... even so.. i read that Re-level for two weeks are free, perhaps re-level, and assign sp to it, i do believe that is the whole point?

While I appreciate the people who are trying to be helpful, I cannot begin to express how fed up I am with getting private messages and snide remarks saying, "Lol, you know you can just buy climb gear right?"

I'm a caster with 8 STR and a regularly full inventory and you never know if you're going to be in a fight and find yourself needing to climb a cliff. Switching gear is not only an annoying waste of time, but I'll lose spells by doing it, thus forcing me to rest, thus further wasting my limited time on this planet. The idea that I could just get a second set of gear and carry it around to switch into when I need to climb ranges from Not Feasible to Not Possible in any given situation.

I Do Not Care that I can buy climb gear. That fact is Irrelevant to this issue. The enchantment basin is supposed to let you enchant your own skills onto your own gear in whatever configuration you please. It's supposed to, and in this case, it isn't. If that's a bug, I'd appreciate if it was fixed. Thanks.

Climb is intentionally not enchantable in the basins. There are a few skills that are like this already. If the skill was enchantable, it would eliminate the difficulty with some spots and remove the intended way to increase it (which is by gathering the gear). The only way you will increase it outside of investing points into climb is by investing in the climbing gear.

I would just like to make the case that the reason introverted booknerds in this universe doesn’t often moonlight as rock climbers in their spare time is because they can do such mundane things with magic; the one thing they are sacrificing proficiency in everything else to pursue.

But a design decision is a design decision - it just... hurts that I will never cast Spider Climb.

Who knows? Maybe it will spark new spell decisions down the road?
