Genasi Elemental resitance not stacking with essence

Not sure if its a bug or intended but the Genasi DR does not stack with defensive essences
It's not supposed to stack. 5/- resistance + 5/ essence doesn't make it a 10, however the 25% immunity + same source of damage immunity ( from gear or gift of hardening ) will stack.
That said, resist energy feat does stack with the 5/ you already have ( either from the essence or the race ).
