My understanding is that this is purely a cosmetic thing (the game year is actually supposed to still be 173 AR I think) and it is being worked on. They just don't want to rush any change out to avoid massive time jump issues (like what happened previously where all the shops and quarters lapsed).

Lets do the time warp again!
