Climbing at Underdark (Middle) Petrified Forest

Description of Bug Experienced:
I was easily able to climb the spot to get up to the Stone Orchard, but on my return trip I couldn't climb down. It kept putting me at the top. I have 15 climb, ranger levels in a natural setting, and both ropes.
I wasn't taking any damage either, and didn't see any popups about failing.
About ten attempts made before figuring something isn't working right.
Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Try to climb down from the Stone Orchard climb spot.
Expected Result:
Climb down or take damage on failure.
Actual Result:
Neither seems to be the case.
