Description of Bug Experienced:
It would seem some of the 'new scrolls' are broken items. I first noticed it when I was using Cure Critical Scrolls, and it was giving me generic "Miscellaneous Small" Items instead of scrolls. Further testing resulted in putting scrolls into a scroll case and taking them back out, breaks the new item. It is listed with the scrolls name and description, but is an unusable item.

Testing the limited amount of scrolls I had, it affected these. This of couse is a very small list, I only had what I had on hand to test.

Cure Serious Wounds
Healing Sting
Invisibility Purge
Infestation of Maggots
Magic Vestment
Prayer
Hold Animal
Remove Paralysis

Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Receive scrolls from Loremaster, or taking out of a scroll case.

Expected Result:
Receive the Proper scroll

Actual Result:
get Defunct Item.

Can confirm also happening to me. Both characters are loremasters.



Essentially rendering the class unplayable (again). At least I can play tic-tac-toe in my inventory.

This happened to me when I removed 3 prayer scrolls from a scroll case. Character wasn't a loremaster FYI.

Non-loremaster character, happened with 28 Gate scrolls after removing from the scroll case ...ouch! X(

Furthermore, these unusuable items do have weight (unlike scrolls)

I am also encountering this bug with my Spellsword when scribing scrolls. Today I set to scribe a Darkness and Waterbreathing scroll, but both generated the red X "Miscellaneous Item" in my inventory with a generic description. I did few more tests with those spells after logging off and back on, but I got the same result.

Gwen's a 25/5 Spellsword/Swashbuckler. I was able to scribe a Waterbreathing Scroll successfully yesterday.

On another note, but possibly related - some scrolls do not seem to want to stack anymore

Also, tried repairing the container, tried putting an energy drain scroll in it and removing it again, then tried the same with a mordenkainen's disjunction scroll - both came out broken.

So yeah, 9th lvl spell scrolls and scroll cases do not seem to mix very well atm too

I just tried to make a premonition scroll and instead made a broken X item.

i'm currently incapable of making true sight scrolls. tried with extended spell metamagic and with no metamagic, it created a "miscellaneous item" instead, with no use.

This bug returned as of few hours ago. Expeditious retreat that procced off loremaster passive became unusable red x.

Yep. Not a loremaster or any other scroll generating class, just autoloot.

No scrolls bought from case.

Could you please confirm that you can successfully retreive other scrolls from the scrollcase and you only had issues with summ scrolls?

confirmed
