PVP Issues make game unplayable and unfair and unfun

player vs player combat in Alerith at its current state favours only higher-level characters it is too easy for higher-level characters to justify trapping others into combat for any reason they see fit as justification.
It seems to be that it not only makes the server unfun and unplayable but adds to a toxic community when people refuse to engage often people becoming upset. I don't want to rp this way or being abused by a higher level as a direct threat or slight against their person. It's further compounded when players will actively try to force people into PVP either through RP or working as teams.
A simple solution would be to expand PVP rules to include effective character level as a rule. Being too far outside of the EFC of each character engaged should make PVP illegal to do unless you opt-in.
This would mean that murder hobos can still have fun and lower levels could also still have fun.
Many might say "this is not the server for you then".. I would like to add this is practically the only server you can go to RP without getting killed instantly. Or abused by higher levels with the do as I say or I will kill you. So I not only find that sentiment without compassion, respect or awareness but it lacks caring about others' feelings and is exclusionary if not outright snarky or even petty.
Furthermore, I would like to add it's far to easy for city officials to abuse others. And can easily not only engage in pvp on a whim being entirely one-sided but entirely block out people from game content. Historically that does not make people happy.
That same person might create a new character only to be at the bottom wrung again on the latter and have to work their way to level 30 and build a PVP build for protection or risk being destroyed, blocked from the content or being forced out of dm events and stories.
I find it hard to think that many would agree but I do know a lot of people would like more consideration on PVP rules as well. I think it's only right to consider both sides..
I will not be responding to feedback on this topic or look at it again as this is the last time I will interact with the forum.
If the game continues to remain unplayable I will quit. I enjoyed the rp.. I don't enjoy being abused by higher levels intentionally starting conflicts so they can feel superior. Call of duty exists I didn't sign on to play call of duty.
