You're now looking at a mini game ONLY those with leadership to 33 are going to win.

Oh, actually, it does appear Ive misread how it works. I have minor reading comprehension issues at times and with school back on, things are not always making sense to me.

I thought it was a literal bidding war. Turns out it's a lottery.
Sorry, this thread is just a tired college student not acquiring all the words on the first read of an update.

How is leadership related to it?

Head bounties are basically liquid gold bars.

I think this is a complaint about the cost of potentially losing one or more 10% down payments. The truth is, if you don't have the means to throw away 10% of the purchase price of the quarter, you won't have the faintest hope of making rent, either. Setting aside guildhouses, this is going to be 6.5k a pop at most, and typically in the range of 500-2500gp.

If you need a quarter there's plenty in Guldorand, there's vaults in Dis, and there's vaults in the Underdark.
It's a bit hard to feel sympathy for people losing 10% of their gold trying to get anything beyond sustainability.

Yeah, this is a significant improvement over what it was changed into being. The last quarter-buying system was hot trash.
This one is actually fair and equitable.

Honest mistake, but could probably do with a thread lock if someone's about to do one

Just popping in to say that this misunderstanding is absolutly understandable. But we couldn't easily come up with a better term other than 'Bid' even though that does have tottaly the wrong connotations. If someone has a better yet still catchy term to use, let me know!
