The stream-book "Book of the Longest Winter" does not seem to function as intended:

1) When used to summon a creature, it summons a Celestial Dog

2) When used to learn its stream, it is consumed and removed from inventory as other stream-books and the combat log displays the following:

"You have learned the Outsider - Eladrin summon stream. Use the -stream menu to activate it."

However, when opening the stream menu with the -stream command, no new stream is listed in the menu. Attempting to use -ela to quick-select the stream does not work, either (the command registers as invalid).


Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

1. Get a "Book of the Longest Winter"
2. Use the book to summon a creature / learn its stream


Expected result
-----------------------

Have a new stream added to your -stream menu.


Actual result
-------------------

No stream is added.

Unfortunately books looted before the fix is live will not work as intended, even afterwards.

Now it works like a charm.

Also, it seems that books from before the fix will work, after all, if you put them in a fixture bookshelf and then take them back out. At least that worked for me.

Unfortunately I have to bump this, I got a book from a bookshelf in a dungeon, and without placing it in a bookcase or bookbag and just trying to read it, I do not get the stream added to my -stream options. After a chat with Kalopsia in PM they say:

However, if you don't do this, it doesn't seem to work, so would it be possible that this could be moved back to open bugs?

Recently looted the book (about 2-3 days ago). It won't proc the menu that asks if you want to consume it to learn a stream.
