I have noticed several of the summons I use tended to default to the inferior knockdown feat instead of using Improved.

What should be checked first for feat use:
FEAT_IMPROVED_KNOCKDOWN (17)

What is likely checked first:
FEAT_KNOCKDOWN (23)

This thread will be something I revisit with summons that I can test and access as individual posts that do not correctly use their kd feats. I encourage others to add to this for completions sake.

How it should look:
Knockdown only:



Improved Knockdown:



Summary of testing so far:
Summons that have both knockdown feat and Improved knockdown feat will always default to knockdown, regardless of intelligence status.
Summons that only have improved knockdown feat but not the intelligence can't use it.
Not a single improved knockdown capable summon tested actually uses improved knockdown.
Gold dragon is more difficult to test but I am working on having someone help there.

Still needs testing:
Dragonknight - Gold Dragon.

Planar Conduit - Grey Slaad






Planar Conduit - Summoned White Slaad

Actually couldn't get this one to use IKD, and it doesn't have Knockdown in its feat list, it also doesn't have 13 int.
This may actually be the cause.

Silver Dragon:




As per the header post, I believe it is checking for Knockdown feat first. This one has the int for IKD but still doesn't use it, defaulting to KD.

Mummy Dust - Dread Mummy:




Lacks 13 int, has feat.

Red Dragon:

Black Blade of Disaster:



Only IKD, couldn't get it to use it. Not enough Int.

Mummy Dust - Vampire:



Mummy Dust - Vampire Count:



Neither have the 13 int required. Can't use the feat, No KD in list.

Dracolich:

Blackguard - Doom Knight:



12 int, not enough.

Planar Conduit - Formian Princess:



Wouldn't use IKD. 12 Int.

Planar Conduit - Word Archon:




Planar Conduit - Warden Archon:




One has the requirements, still uses KD.
Other doesn't have the requirements and uses KD.
