Did April Fools come early this year? (aasimar buff/grandfathering))

I mean, it had to. There is no way in hell that anyone would think it was a smart play to lower the award then a week later buff the race, only to tell the small handful of people that actually wanted to play an aasimar and used their award on it they are just screwed. So this has to be just a bad joke. And while i am all for bad jokes at the right time, if the big reveal isn't soonish people might think you are actually being serious and rage quit the server. So let's do that big reveal soon, yeah?

I sympathize. Barely a single month after I rolled up my 5% the big award update came where ecl +3's could take a minor gift. Could have had sneak or spot bonuses, or even a desperately needed gift of tongues, if I had waited just a few more days in the grand scheme but alas - nothing at all. It's sucks, but it's the nature of the beast.
Either way it's January and I kinda doubt anyone would rage quit the server if they've spent enough time going for a Greater, but still it must smart a little.
I wonder if there's some backend reason for it.

It would be nice if you also included what the changes to Aasimar actually are in the update and what they mean to you and your building individually. Firstly because it would already make your rant a *little* bit more constructive at the very least, and secondly because it's a huge update. Please refresh my memory.

Devs being snarky with these things isn't cool.

A rant has no prerequisite length, your post was definitely just an angry rant, nothing even remotely constructive about it, you just called the change a bad joke and made some vague threat about people leaving (which always goes over well).

Did you read the rest of my post? Or did you stop there?

Of course I stopped there, the vague threat about people leaving was the end of it.

This is a rant. This is not how you give feedback. This is snarky, ranty, unconstructive (I could go on) so it's no wonder you get a negative reaction from a Dev.
At the end of the day I suppose all that was wasted was the entirety of my x-mas break where I finally had time to play a character with my friend who lived across the world through the level up process, and all that was sacrificed was my sleep rhythm during that time. All of that is just a valiant sacrifice for the greater good ... [explicit deletd].
This passive aggressive response seems well over the top. I can't imagine why "all this was wasted" if the complaint is over +2 to DEX. You still got to do all of those things with your friend that you seemed to have valued.
These are exactly the types of posts that are uncool. You garner absolutely no sympathy with these kinds of posts and end up doing the exact opposite. If you would have written the feedback in a more constructive manner, then you open a dialog for a positive exchange (which sometimes does cause things to get adjusted). This should be pretty well known to everyone by now.
