Tiffa Took Kudos

No, I'm not rolling! But with the baby due to arrive in about two weeks, I'll be taking a bit of a break! Since I joined about a year ago, a ton of people have influenced Tiffa's story. It's really been one of the most fun RP experiences I've had overall, with her going from a good-natured Cordorian, to now a blood-thirsty UD Captain. Though I KNOW I'm forgetting some (I blame my struggle with names), I wanted to hand out some well-earned kudos to those I've come across this past year!
Aranzir Amante - One of the very first people Tiffa ever met upon her creation! What caught her attention was the Luck Stone, and the rest is history. Though, when I made the joke of 'Stray Cat Strut' being his theme song.... I didn't quite realize how accurate it was! A character who's been sorely missed, it was an honour to know him!
Aaralyn Rivorndir - Along with Aranzir, one of the first people Tiffa met, as she met them both together. I don't think there's enough room in one post to say everything I want to about Aaralyn, and how much she meant, and still means to Tiffa. From day one, Aaralyn easily became family to her, and had a massive impact on who she became in Cordor. Through Tiffa's trials, Aaralyn was still there, and even recently, Aaralyn was part of one of Tiffa's biggest betrayals against Cordor as she fell. Not only was this noble-woman once someone Tiffa looked up to, the character herself is much more in depth than what may be seen on the surface, and I feel very privileged to have been able to peek at that and get to know her a little deeper. (Before Tiffa ran to Andunor, at least.) Thank you for the amazing memories!
Aldros Rivorndir - Daddy Rivorndir! A man who had more wisdom than I think Tiffa knew how to handle. One of my favourite memories was him walking her through the Manor, and showing pieces of history and the stories that went with them. As well as teaching her about his diety, when she came in on him praying when things were tough. To see Aldros being sentimental will always stick with me!
Tommy Bendt - Tiffa's best friend!! The firebowl Tommy made her is STILL in her quarter, and any time anyone asks about it? "My best friend made that!" Tommy was a great woman, and seeing her about on the player list again made me happy squeal. Of everyone Tiffa knew in Cordor, Tommy was her favourite. My favourite memory with Tommy was hiding behind her in stealth and Tiffa whispering what to say to help Tommy hit on a guy. ... It worked!
Drad An'ash - Try as he may, and goodness did he try, Drad was the 'good cop' during Tiffa's descent into who she is now. He was one of the very few who tried to get through to her more gently, which Tiffa appreciated. Drad as a character was very three dimensional with different aspects to him, from the deadly serious to the more fun-loving, and that's my favourite part of him.
Dameon Wade - If Drad was the good cop... Dameon was the bad cop. At least, that's how Tiffa warped it. A complete and total bad a** of a character, that Tiffa looked up to for a very long time as a symbol of strength and leadership. Though she eventually hung her own downfall onto him, to this day Dameon is probably the one person on the surface that she still secretly fears. (And bring back the kamas or connect chains between the fists because that was the most awesome accessory.)
Rio Salazar - Spitfire is putting it LIGHTLY. Rio had all the flavour you could ask for and then some. Rio was one of people who Tiffa admired for her candid and honest nature. Just saying what she felt, when she felt it. Tiffa, and by extension myself, took that trait as inspiration to apply towards "Lucky" when she first started migrating to Andunor. Knowing Rio, she'd be mad at that fact! But as a character, it's what I loved most about her.
Devon Marshal - AXE CRACK. That drawing on the board will never die for me. The long Draconic lessons, and eventually the biggest murder scandal Cordor had ever seen, ghost busting in the Cordor Jail cells, and then Devon just straight up popping into Andunor's Hub to declare he loved Tiffa (which she had one hell of a time explaining what familial love was to a bunch of drow), I don't think the word 'boring' is ever applied to anything around Devon. He's also one of the very few paladins I've seen played that have the wonderful dynamic of upholding his holy vows, but also having a good natured playful side, a duality that most characters in general can struggle with!
Nyla Willowmoon (I'm still your #1 Fan) - The long days of wall duty were always shared with Nyla. Granted, holding up the wall wasn't an actual duty, nor were they ordered to do it, and they weren't paid for it, but I digress. Nyla is someone Tiffa loved, but was also a catalyst in the beginning of the end. From allies, to friends, to one-sided enemies, to worlds apart, Tiffa and Nyla had a quiet but impactful split between them. However, it's not so much where their stories intertwine that endears me to her, but rather watching how she changed over time, from the early days of knowing her, to the sacrifice with Lysanthir, and all that followed. In the end, Nyla's story was not a happy one, but it was some of the best character progression RP I've seen given what she went through. Kudos to you.
Lefric Ruston - What can I say about Lefric. He has a number of teeth, that's for sure!
Lefric in my opinion was one of the greatest characters I've seen come out of Skal. You as a player arrived not long after I did, and our characters ended up getting along great! Tiffa even sat him down and explained aspects and attunements. I feel our time to play together was far too short, but I've also seen you pow-wowing around on Arelith again!! I can't wait to hear what becomes of this man with his teeth!
Flavius Florus - Their interactions... whew, odd ones. Two people who cared for one another, neither willing to say anything, both of them oblivious to the other, and then one of them beheads the other a couple years later to prove a point and THAT'S when they figure it out. I feel like if we were to turn their story into a soap opera, "gasps in Elven" would be among the subtitles. Flavius is one of those characters that I truly wish I had more time around. Not only a fantastic RPer, but a wonderful player to work with when it comes to plot point RP. Even after their time of being friends came to a close (since she quite literally stabbed him in the back and took his head while sobbing), they still made me laugh with probably the world's silliest way of communicating. Tears and laughs were both abundant with Flavius, and it was a complete privilege to know you.
Varelas (Sarek) - There is quite literally a book that features what happened between Varelas and Tiffa. Love, betrayal, bloodshed, and the many paths of and between good and evil, the story of these two has been one of if not THE most impactful to Tiffa's evolution as a character. There were a few times that real tears occured from interactions they had, and it was unlike anything I'd played before! It led to interesting places, even long after their tale ended, it still effected Tiffa for the rest of her time on Arelith, and will likely continue to do so.
Theodor Helbrecht - I can't say enough good things about this character. The BEST villain I had ever seen, because he was far more than just someone with the physical (mechanical) strength to beat you into submission, he was a master of manipulation and a charming gentleman with words. Never have I seen such an elaborate scheme as I have coming from him, and although his workings on Tiffa failed in his intentions to corrupt her initially, he still opened her eyes to a different way of perceiving people around her, and it led to her turning away from the surface on her own much later anyway. Her 'descent into despair' would have never happened were it not for Theodor, and she would not be Andunorian, she would not be who she is, and I would not have played through one of the most fun stories I've ever been apart of in my 18 years of role playing. Thank you so much for letting me be part of that! (And yes, I still have the Theodor Teddy.)
Xune'ill Rilyn'ervs - The lady Tiffa FIRST worked for in Andunor. Under Xune'ill's protection, 'Lucky' was able to get a foothold to hit the ground running, much like she did in Cordor. Though it wasn't easy, there were times when Xune'ill had me gut-bust laughing. Such as when interviewing new retainers. "... What do you think of my outfit?" probably shouldn't be a qualifying question, but it was, and watching how characters reacted to Xune's more egotistical but silly nature was one of the HIGHLIGHTS of that character for me!
Amaldor - Thiiis is where I think 'Lucky' got to shine in her own little personality more. Though Lucky had a big mouth with a lot of attitude (thank you 8 wis, 8 cha), Amaldor didn't actually threaten to kill her over it like I thought everyone was going to. Amaldor threw it BACK! And it led to the two being friends for quite the long time, through ups and downs, and the many transitions both of them had. Though it still tickles me that he re-trained specifically to be able to beat people like her.
John Salamander (Sshaksah Hss'tafi) - He's known as John Salamander on this side of the Great Wheel of Many Things, but to Tiffa? He's 'Uncle Sshaksah'. One of the most fun characters I've gotten to know in the UD, who was quick to note her 'survival instinct' and other quirks she had in order to survive as an uncollared halfling. She's learned a lot from John, including how to trust someone again, as he was the first person she bucked against who stuck with her and handed her a much-needed harsh dose of reality. Plus, what's not to love about a man who gets beat up by a chair?
Imri Xel'vraxa - THE 'TUUUUDE! FROM BOTH OF THEM! Imri as a female was terrifying to be sure, but the battles of wits that Lucky and Imri would have never ceased to entertain. Not just us, but those around our characters would often stop to see what was going on and laugh at the insults the two would hurl.
Valzar Xel'vraxa - The first peek into Andunor politics. And good lord did the experience make a mark. Valzar himself was a character I wish was around for a little bit longer, as he was quite the curious and interesting character. Though I have no idea what was true and what was false when it comes to everything surrounding the Xel'vraxa house, the mystery behind many of the characters, Valzar involved, is what made them highly interesting!
T'rissolin Xel'vraxa - Speaking of mysteries and webs of rumour, T'rissolin was one of those characters that I enjoyed getting to know, even if Tiffa slowly began to turn against her for her own reasons (viva la hins). Though I wasn't deeply involved with the Matron, the story she has and the curiosity with it could easily fill a book that I know I'd read, and it was very fun to watch it unfold from the side-lines, even if Tiffa got the heck outta dodge when she realized the unrest was starting.
Lavok Xun'viir - I will forever hold the fact that Lavok has two candelabras flanking his throne as MY doing, and wear that as an imaginary badge of honour. Lavok, from the time they first met where he attempted to strong-arm her into doing work for him, to now, these two had quite the strange co-existance. As a character, this drow mage is another that I think plays one of the BEST villians, and is one of the best RPers I've seen. He can be that more flamboyant and comedic character, but he can also be that terrifying bad guy that you'd hate to be alone in a room with. I could fill a whole new post with thoughts and memories that involve Lavok and everything he and Tiffa went through and how they evolved as allies and dare I say friends, but I'll end this kudos by saying you've been one of my favourite people to play with in Andunor, and Tiffa will always be loyal to Xun'viir, because of Lavok.
Pani - 'Welcome to Andunor! Lose a tooth!' *smack.*
That's pretty much how these two met, and it set the tone for how they interact even today. They CONSTANTLY taunt one another, and Pani gets worked up, goes to hit her, and Tiffa hides like a 'wee blue-haired bonny coward'! Every time I see Pani in the same area, I rub my hands together with a grin because I KNOW good laughs are coming!
Jack Topholiho - Long Live House Tookholiho! Jack came to Andunor, captured from the surface and enslaved. Tiffa immediately recognized him, as Jack and Tiffa had known the same people, though they never actually spoke to one another. At the start, she wasn't sure what to think of him, having a keen dislike for other hins. Over time, though, she came to love Jack like a brother, and would do anything to protect him and help him. Jack has this gift for showcasing vulnerability, but being able to do so in a way that's not overbearing or like a pity-party. It's a very fine-tuned way of writing and RPing, and watching how he went from a scared little slave, to a treasured Black Lash member and a free halfling was awesome to witness and be part of. VIVA LA UNDERHINS.
Gorehound - To me, when I played on the surface, Gorehound was the Boogie-Man personified. He was that monster hiding under little kid's beds, or in closets, or lurking with sharp-toothed drool-dripping grin of a million sharp teeth down that dark alley. When Tiffa first met him, I was not only excited to RP with the LEGEND, but pleasantly surprised by what she encountered. Gorehound gave me as a player a heightened interest in gnoll lore, learning about certain aspects of D&D I didn't actually know about before. He's also the one who supported and gave his blessing as Admiral for Tiffa to be made a Captain in the Andunor Navy, an honour that can't really be understated from me as it wasn't something I EVER thought would happen!
Jhaamdath Xun'viir - When Tiffa thinks of people she knew versus people she knows, she often finds parallells between people below and people above. Jhaamdath is no different, as she has a similar relationship to him as she did to one of the Rivorndirs. Part of this endears her to him, but the other part makes her buck against him and fight to be heard. She learned a lot about not only Navy, but Andunor in general through Jhaamdath, and she knows that compliments from this jaluk are NOT given lightly! When he said she had his respect, there was an audible 'Awwww!' from this player. Especially considering this Dread Captain's longevity and infamy. It's been an honour to learn more about the sailing mechanics from you, as well! Captain 'Took the Crook' will definitely be back.
Yance Rija-qara - The man who started her on her sailing journey! How did he start her on the path to being a sailor, and LOVING sailing?
By badgering her non-stop to join because he wanted a friend to be in his crew. Seriously. Non. Stop. Every day! Though that's not where their friendship actually started, since Tiffa was able to accurately guess where he was from based on his appearance alone, and the two fostered a friendship by being the 'weirdos' of their separate groups. Tiffa still uses the 'moving, breathing spyglass' that Yance gifted to her, as it's part of her sailing description now and a treasured bit of memorabilia from the weirdo who would 'dare not look at her ankles.'
Holly Holtz - Holly was a wonderful and misunderstood character, who, like Gorehound, Tiffa had heard of and known of on the surface as a 'monster', but was surprised by the reality of getting to know them below. Quickly becoming like a sister to Tiffa, Holly was one of those toons that was a perfect mix of creepy, scary, and also quite funny! The loss of Holly sent a shockwave through Andunor that is still felt and being dealt with by many characters still, and I feel really blessed to have known her.
Rias - The other sister-from-another-mister! Though wary at the beginning, I'm really glad Tiffa and Rias grew closer as friends and family of the spirit. I can't think of a single time where I was bored or having a bad time with Rias around. Though they come from different experiences, and don't always see eye to eye, Rias is always there if Tiffa needs her, and vice versa. The quips and side comments and jokes between the two when on deck is something I always look forward to!
Lilith Vensurai - While not truly 'frenemies', there are times Lilith and Tiffa seem to be at odds, and other times where they are perfectly in sync with what they are saying and doing. Lilith herself throws some of the BEST events and parties, which I know for a fact is not an easy task to undertake, especially considering how often this player throws them. If you're ever curious 'What's going on this week?', you can bet Lilith has something up her sleeve. How you cope with the stress of running these events, I'll never know, but I have a very strong feeling there's not a single person on this server who can do what you do and do it this well! Kudos!
Maknold - If it were possible to insert sound here, I'd be doing so with fanfare. Though the language system always interested me, and Tiffa being a linguist has been a trait since her creation, Maknold fostered it tenfold. He is by far the most talented tutor in Andunor, and potentially the entirety of Arelith. He inspired Tiffa to take her learning of languages to the next level and become a professional tutor herself, and continously looks up to Maknold as the Big-Bad-Boss of languages. He also taught her (and me!) a lot more about dragons and kobolds that I never knew! I loved the conversations they would have, and the lore he would teach. Fabulous character all around, and I wish Maknold the most industrious of cycles!
Saslae Xun'viir - She have class, she give sass, but most importantly, she scream at your a**.
I have no idea what to call the relationship between Tiffa and Saslae, but there's no denying her influence and power in Andunor. Saslae is a bit of an enigma in a lot of ways. You're not really sure what she's gonna do at any given moment, she could approach something with a calm demeanour, or she could go in, guns ablazing, kicking butt and taking names. And potentially mixing up those names. When it comes down to it, Tiffa would be there to help if Saslae needed it, and I know Saslae would do the same! Mostly because she already has!
Johnathan Rigsby (Holtz) - In Andunor, most of Tiffa's relationships have gone from turbulent, to tolerance, allies, friends, or family. John has gone the opposite!! Though once his boss in Cordor, then something akin to siblings, and now someone TIffa would probably sell to a devil for a corn chip, Johnathan is the ONLY person who has been there to see Tiffa's journey from her very beginning, to now. Though their paths were never that involved aside from their love for Holly, they were parallelled for a long time as they both went from Cordorians, to Andunorians. Though they don't know each other as well as I'd've liked, the pair are definitely always going to be connected through their history and the similiarties within them. They always exist around one another, and it's been interesting to see the pair evolve on their own seperate journeys, only to end up in the same place!
Gar'ughdar Neach-dion (ft. Meep) - What does it say about a player, when your character dislikes the character... but adores the familiar? I say it speaks to an incredible duality and talent of the writer behind them! Tiffa is constantly glaring, squinting, and trying (with little success) to communicate with Gar'ughdar... but then is always protecting, coddling, and trying to make a better life for Meep. The study of myconids and language is the only mutual interest the two share, but it's all that's truly needed for this pair and their odd friendship!!
Lorenzo Ortega Marquez - The staring contest that started a frie-... allyshi-.... what are they again? It's hard to say sometimes, as Lorenzo is one of those scholars that mystifies, stupifies, and kiiinda reminds me of Serverus Snape. I enjoy playing with him, even if he confuses Tiffa beyond comprehension at times. He helped create the Navy Tiffa would die for, and I wish him success in everything he plans to do for the Arcanum!!
Xarak Rilynviir - I can't really say enough good things about Xarak. The character has been nothing but good for Tiffa, giving an outlet for her well-buried vulnerabilities, as well as a trusted ear to confide in. Though the start of their relationship was quite odd and almost funny in how they pushed each other towards other people, they eventually came together and became one of my favourite RP pairs I've had! It's been an amazing experience, playing with Xarak and getting to know the piwafwi-donned mage, as the two's collective ignorance or mindlessness cause every kind of reaction from onlookers that one could think of. Disgust, confusion, endearment, it's been quite funny to see!
My favourite thing about this mage is definitely how you play with the cloak. I imagine if someone walked into that cloak, it'd be another world inside, like Narnia or something. He reaches in, and what does he pull out?! A wand?! A mushroom?! ... An elven slave for his halfling dearest to skin?! You just never know! I look forward to more!
Kaadius - From two different sides, but that didn't really stop Kaadius and Tiffa from getting along!
Nilith - You snatched her hair. Literally! Nilith was one of those characters you could always rely on to have a good time, just relax and enjoy talking to or making outfits with. Until THEY LITERALLY SCALP YOU. (Tiffa deserved it though.)
Cara Carndt - The hostess with the mostest! She was easily my favourite Cultural Minister, and I loved running events with you!
Hewdipp - The first halfling Tiffa ever actually got along with, and I treasure that painting he made Tiffa even still. One of the toons I miss seeing the most!
Gaist Beouve - The most serious guard I think I've ever seen, but one that was a lot of fun to see what he was doing, and what he was capable of! I think he really saved that faction back then.
Terathiel Eldafire - Tiffa will always keep his hair-dyeing secret. ... Or WILL she??
Karathas Morathil - He put everything on the line to extend a chance to a traitor of his people, and all he got in thanks was an enemy. But I won't forget how they met, with a flower given to a once-innocent halfling barmaid. Thank you for those memories!
Lysnathir - He never liked her, but I thiiiink it's because he knew all along how Tiffa was going to end up. Still, I enjoyed their RP and attempts to make amends... even if it ends with them at odds.
Almaria Rilyn'ervs - One of the only ones of the house I see these days (thanks timezones), but also one of the best! Almaria is always a joy to be around!
Thargis - I feel like I only got to see you a handful of times, and then you poofed! I remember Thargis walking in and Tiffa immediately filling up two pints of ale. One for each hand!
Richard Kaidaris - When Tiffa was aide, she spent a lot of time around Vice Chancellor Kaidaris, and though they were never close, I always enjoyed the interaction!
Jana Kaidaris - There is nothing that can bond two women more than their love for chocolate.
Roxxi - We looked, and we saw her, as she stepped on the mat. We looked, and we saw her, the cat in combat. ... Even after your 'nerf', you still kicked my butt. Always love seeing Roxxi around!
Roselyn Kingsley - Once, Tiffa was her guest. Then, her enemy. And now, part of her... house? How did THAT happen?! Who knows. When in doubt, blame Sshaksah. But the RP is always entertaining!
Nerali - I always love when I can pounce Nerali down long enough to talk to her! I wish I could've gotten to know the lively tiefling more.
Lilian Williams - Though she's mostly a mystery to Tiffa, I always find myself curious about Lil, and she's another character I wish I had gotten to know more! She seems like she's seen a lot!
Arak - THE Warchief! Arak is the first person to ever call Tiffa 'Andunorian', and he is also the reason Tiffa respects the Blood Legion and would follow them to war in a heartbeat!
Itzal - Come back ;-; I didn't get NEARLY enough time with the awesome Itzal, and he was one of the few who Tiffa felt she could talk to without judgement.
Fjarna - I STILL have that mirror from when Itzal and Fjarna took time off, and will treasure it always! Fjarna was a ray of sunshine, everywhere she went!
Driz'rak - #1 Best Sailor and nobody can convince me otherwise. They had a strange start towards each other, and potentially a stranger ending, but nobody can deny the man is probably the BOSS of the seas!
Salasker Dusk - The scholar Tiffa looked up to most, meeting Salasker, for her, was like meeting the biggest rock star of the ages. I love how much history this guy has seen, and how freely he's willing to share it!
Rolf Marr - BALD! BALD! (And also completely awesome and a wonderful character to be around!) I miss RPing with this guy!
Melodia Tsukiko - One of the most unique characters I've seen, from the wings to being mute and using sign language. She was always very interesting, and I enjoyed the short time I got to interact with her!
Koirin - NAE RUNNIN'!!! I will end up saying 'Nae ___ing' often, and... well, nobody gets the joke. ;-; Koirin is the REASON Tiffa immediately offers two pints of ale to every dwarf/duergar, and always keeps more on hand!
Stink Spellworped - Stink is the reason I started seeing goblins as less of an annoyance that people would just be goofballs on, and more as dynamic characters. He has a lot of personality, and has been wonderful to RP with!
Rumikar Sink-Eye - If Rumi isn't one day promoted to a Gunnery Officer, or is fired OUT of a cannon? I will be disappointed. I have such high hopes for this gobbo!!
Nymoria - SHE'S DOIN' IT FOLKS. SHE IS SELLING THE DRESS DESIGNS. GET IT WHILE IT'S HOT! And also, a GREAT RPer, she's been wonderful to get to know!
Lysander Vero - Though often busy with a quasit, I enjoy the quiet nature of Lysander that makes him interesting, and in general he's just an awesome character to have around!
X'anrith Auvyrn'rae - I haven't had nearly enough time to RP with this Matron in depth, but the few times we have, have left nothing but good impressions!
Suleyvan al-Vahs - Guess who's back back back, back again-gain-gain! Suley's back! Tell a friend- and STAY THIS TIME!! Highly missed!
Jraduk - There is a lot I COULD say, but I think I will communicate how awesome Jraduk is, in his own communication method. ... *grunts*
Chione - I don't know whether to be afraid of Chione or enamoured, so I choose both. I still am afraid to ask what the flesh-sucky-thingie she 'feeds' is!
Redcardo (Ricardo) - What's lazy, has a tail, and red all over? One of the funniest toons I've seen in Andunor, that's who!
Selakiir - Though they've only ever sat and talked in depth once, it was definitely impactful on Tiffa. He has a way of saying things that is very unique, and I enjoy the interactions I get with him!
House Hel'vael - With the recent election and Luastra the new Chancellor, I've seen a lot of RP that looks amazing, and I look forward to seeing what happens in the Devil's Table! It's great to see such life in there again!
Shadowclaw Clan - I LOVE the Shadowclaws! I have yet to have a bad interaction with any single one of them, and I look forward to seeing them take over Andunor proper with their Industry.
Alexey Sova - Tiffa would get onto Alexey for being a dumb-dumb with evil people. I'm not sure who was the pot and who was the kettle, but they were certainly both black!! I really enjoyed Alexey, and also enjoyed my limited interactions with your alt within the UD! I hope to get that opportunity to play with you again in the future!
Zilka Torth - In a word? Frenemies. If you were to stand and listen to them, you would assume the two hate each other. But when it comes down to it, they back each other up as neighbors and citizens of the same city!
Kron'jss Xun'viir - A man with superior footwear! Kron'jss is a toon who remains more of a mystery to me when it comes to the deeper character traits, but on the surface level? He's one awesome person to have around!
Rasvyn Timbers - They say a picture speaks a thousand words, so...

Rasvyn was never anything short of entertaining, and I miss him and the laughs he provided!
I definitely plan on being back, though as Tiffa's time for now will be slowing to a stop so I can settle into my quickly-approaching new life, I'll never be too far away! She was my first character on Arelith, and everyone she's ever come into contact with has a special place in my heart because of that. So kudos to Arelith, it's team, and it's entire playerbase as a whole! Thank you for the laughs, the stories, and the memories so far! Can't wait for more. ^_^
