Description of Bug Experienced:
When a wizard specialize in necromancy, they should receive a bonus of +2 to undead caster level to their undead summons. Currently they are not receiving this bonus.

I have a Wizard 3 (necromancy specialization / Palemaster 4.
That's 7 natural Undead Caster Levels.
With the +2 bonus it should go +9 and i should be able to summon Zombie Warriors or Ghasts.
However i am still summoning Grave-touched Ghoul.

Steps to reproduce the Bug:

Create a character, specialize in Necromancy, try to summon undead at level 3 natural caster level or level 7 natural caster level. The +2 bonus from the specialization isn't applying and thus you don't move to the next tier of summon.

Expected Result:

Necromancy specialization should allow natural caster level of 3 to summon tier 2 undeads, natural caster level of 7 to summon tier 3 undeads, natural caster level of 11 to summon tier 4 undeads and natural caster level of 15 to summon tier 5 undeads.

Actual Result:

The +2 bonus to undead caster level from the necromancy specialization does not apply.

Additional Information/Notes

This bug may happens because of other reasons. Maybe the interaction between Wizard and Palemaster PrC is broken, maybe the Palemaster PrC different way of CL progression don't work well with the necromancer +2 specialization bonus, or maybe it's just broken and the bonus isn't applying at all.

Obs: It's very possible that Clerics with the Undeath domain to be suffering from the same problem (i think).

Palemaster levels do not stack for the UCL increase from necromancy specialist. It's not a bug. It's intended to be this way.

Can confirm that Undeath Cleric UCL is working just fine

Is this an official answer? I meant, i don’t know who is who here as i’m new, are you from arelith staff or this answer represent what arelith staff think?

That said, if the statement is true, this should be labeled either at palemaster class wiki or necromancy specialization wiki. It’s not an easy thing to imagine, this incompatibility.

It’s expressively stated in the summon change wilia:

“The Undead Caster Level is your highest individual casting class Cast Level (including additive Caster Level prestige classes like Palemaster and Loremaster where relevant, see the prestige class for more details).”

I am not Arelith staff. But this was the answer Xerah (The developer behind specialist wizards) gave when previously asked about this.
