Everything about slavery is non-consensual themed, It is the whole point of slavery.
Where I never found non-consensual issues myself is romance. And if in anyway such happens, Slave or not, It should be reported.

The no master-slave relation made perfect sense, This would be and is very wrong.

The new rule completely removes a part of a slaves "humanity", To feel for others, love is a part of a being, To deprive such from a character is inhumane.

For sample and let me mix in my question:

Is slave on slave romance forbidden? I assume "yes".
But they are on equal social standing and in the debts of despair the light of love could make this terrible life bareable.

My personal opinion would be to heavily policy on non concentual acts in general, Underdark and any other server alike and punish those who cross such a line rather than commit lobotomy and turning slaves in semi npcs.

Arelith is full of contradiction in its rules, This rule was never part of it, It was just, understandable and clear.

Now it joins the "Where is the line" and "this is a contradiction".

Personal suggestion, Return it to previous state and go after those who force slaves into relationships? (Is this actually a thing?)
But yeah, Slap those who cross intimate non-concent rp instead of slapping the UD.

Slave "romance" is greasy and disgusting, and you know exactly the reason why. It's contemptible that you try to dance around it.

By nature a slave does not have freedom, therefore they are not able to give consent. Please stop trying to romanticize slavery for the sake of having some kind of BDSM-lite relationship. It's gross and it's really transparent when it happens.

In my mind, the ruling can be distilled to this: The server may be rated PG-13, but slaves are rated DON'T.

The update seems really clear to me so I am locking this. DMs can reply to answer the question as needed; we don't need extra commentary.

It's even fine for slaves to fall in love with someone and work towards freedom to express their affections for each other so long as the nature of their attraction is subtle and implied instead of shown (so long as they aren't being intimate and it is exceptionally, exceptionally subtle).

The nature of dubious consent means that because someone is a slave, the ability to say no isn't firmly established. This makes it non-consensual. Even with two slaves.

The ability to not consent is fundamentally tied to romance for slaves. This means relationships that might seem consensual on the surface might actually not be as cut and clear as they look.

Arelith is not a server for all types of roleplay. This is one of them. Fortunately, there are many other alternative avenues you can pursue to satiate your desire for narrative romance. I encourage you to look at those instead.
