Clerics may be the golden child, but as the deities chose to grant this class their divine powers could it be looked blessing shrines as this class needs to be in one step of the deity and are chosen?

Clerics just received some major benefits with crossing over with Bards. This class is the divine servants of deities and our primary stat is CHA. We could really sing if you would let us.

A favored soul is not necessarily trained in the priestly rites of their deity. If they are, then that is reflected by them being able to take the gift of the holy which requires them to be within a step of their deity.

As a favored soul is now, however, they do not need to match their deity's alignment. Their magic comes from an innate connection with the one who chose them, not through knowing prayer and ritual. Favored souls may not even want this power.
