Bank Storage Mystery Items

PC: Azalea Wayfair
login name: MissMagnificent
Bug: Random items are appearing in my bank storage in Cordor. I logged in and found 100 magical potion bottles in there which weren't mine. I know those aren't mine because my character doesn't have brew potion and I also don't even know where to buy them.
This also means something disappeared from my storage -- I'm not exactly sure what, as I always have the max number of items stored.

When fully upgraded a city's citizen storage has 12 slots. Any items over the 12 slots get added to a "buffer". The next time someone opens their citizen storage, everything in the "buffer" will appear as well. Which means that someone added the potion bottles to their (full) storage and it entered the "buffer". You will see an output in the Combat Console when you close your storage, chest, shop about any items that weren't "saved".

I do hope this bug, even if it's a known buffer issue, gets fixed.
Something disappeared from my vault and was replaced with the magical potion bottles from someone else's bank storage. I'm not super fussed given I can't remember what it is, but I'm sure someone else would be annoyed if their expensive weapon/armor/whatever disappeared.

It should notify you to items not saved when this happens.
Specifically, we can't "fix" this, as we can't know what is and isn't just missed by someone.
While we could kick items back out into an inventory it's also possible this would cause issues if someone else interacts while you are.

Can someone please look into this? I now have FIVE items in my bank vault that aren't mine, which means five of my items got overwritten.
I haven't logged in for the last 3 days because of RL stuff, and the last time I was at my bank, I double checked to make sure nothing weird was in there. So I think this is a different problem than what folks are saying.
Items that are random in my bank vault:
- a masterly damask sword
- a book bag with a holy symbol of Torm
- a mask of the skull
- a mask of death
- 2 rare hardwood
My PC would not have or make or keep any of these items. I'm pretty sure I'm missing my crafting components -- gold ingots, flasks of oil, coal, etc. I unfortunately don't remember them all, but my bank vault is usually kept carefully at capacity and no more, no less.

This is not a bug. Please read above in the responses.
The issue you are encountering is that you are receiving an overflow of items because someone else put more than the capacity. As Sincra had mentioned, it warns you about them not being saved. I strongly recommend reviewing your stuff each and every interaction with the bank storages and clear away things that are not yours - take them, sell them off or throw them into the trash and ensure that it saves your contents properly.

I have been checking the combat message log to make sure I wasn't seeing anything about extra items not saved. That's why I thought this was weird. I have seen the error message before and look in my storage to take out item #13 or whatever.
I didn't get any error messages the last time I was at my bank vault.
Is it possible to do something similar to what is done with fixtures when you go over the limit in the area? Just flag the extra items to be deleted?
Edit: I just logged back in and now only one of the five extra items is there. I'm just going to try sticking to 11 items and not fussing about this.

While I completely understand the frustration, this is unfortunately a limitation.
We don't know what you personally put in the storage or took out and the game is making the wrong assumption if you're getting items replaced.
The process is working something like this:
You open the bank counter.
It accesses the database and loads your items.
You add/remove items as you wish but there is 1 left over from someone else.
You close the bank counter.
It goes through each item and saves the data and deletes the one inside the container until at the limit.
Once past the limit it starts gathering info on the excess and notifies to what wasn't saved vs what was.
The issue is, we don't have a method of knowing if you added the item yourself and while we could delete the excess after you close it to stop the next person being impacted it would equally mean that you, the item owner, may lose that item without recourse just for a miscounted inventory.
We could also delete items in there on open, but then if someone sneaks up and opens it while you are using it the inventory is whiped, replaced and if you close now the second persons bank storage is yours.
If however you are getting items without even playing, that probably is another issue.
Just a few standard questions to that end:
Have you ever or do you let another individual use your cdkey?
Does someone else use your machine?

I can see the difficulty in trying to get around this and I appreciate the attention in trying to figure this out. I hadn't played in the last few days, so it was surprising to see the new items in there. I now have a written record of what I store so I at least know if I lose anything further from this. However, they were mostly crafting components, so I'm not overly fussed about it -- I was just worried about it happening to other folks, too.
As for the questions asked, no one else uses my computer or my CDkey.
I actually looked at the remaining item of the five that had appeared then disappeared, and it turns out I know the PC/player involved, so I'm working on getting their item back to them.
