When set up correctly -cover is supposed to have it's own description rather than the standard one when uncovered.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

1. Save a cover description following steps from the wiki: https://wiki.nwnarelith.com/Description ... escription
2. Become covered.
3. Inspect description

Expected result
-----------------------

Inspection shows the saved cover description.

Actual result
-------------------

Uncovered description shows instead.

Misc Notes

Tried reapplying the steps to save and set a cover description just in case it was some form of "reset"
It still doesn't work.

Can you try and see if you are able to delete the cover description you have made?

I've been suffering from a similar problem on one of my characters for over a year where there are several 'dud' cover descriptions (as well as some non-functional normal descriptions) saved on the character that don't work and can't be deleted, but which still show up in the list of saved descriptions.

Unfortunately this would be a different issue, the above report is actually based on a change that had not been announced yet but has since been reverted.
