Guldorand: Settlement / factions

Hi all,

It's been almost a week since I reported this in a PM, but I haven't received a response yet. That's why I'm dropping this here.

Description
==========

The recent faction cleanup deleted Guldorand's influential factions from the settlement system. Please note: The factions themselves still exist in -factions.
As many mechanics are tied to the governing faction in Guldorand, this makes things very awkward. The State Building cannot be accessed, which also holds quarter signs to e.g. the Garrison, which in turn holds the quarter sign for the flagship. A preceding lock change in the Garrison makes this even more awkward. People hold quarters (with storage) in the State Building that they cannot access.


Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

1. Speak with Elder Harman.
2. Try to access the State Building.

Expected result
-----------------------

1. Be given a list of influential factions.
2. Be granted access if you're a part of the governing faction.

Actual result
-------------------

1. Field remains blank.
2. You shall not pass.

Alternatively, just give me database access? I'll figure it out. This is honestly just super awkward to work with, especially with the current serverwide DEV/DM plot.

Have a bit of patience. The two people that are capable of fixing it have been extremely busy.

Thanks for the response.

The active and governing faction that would have to be put back in for things to work is "Guldorand Prosperity Coalition".

I'll admit I didn't anticipate this effect, so I didn't take screenshots of the other three influential factions. The characters involved in those influential factions aren't around anymore (that I know of). Do they even have any mechanical bearing other than being listed?

We've hit the two-week mark on this issue.

It's growing to be exceptionally problematic, especially with our other government buildings temporarily out of service for general use due to a DM event. Several people have now lost quarters over this.

An additional problem is that it has become impossible to give new Garrison applicants keys to the Garrison building, because the sign for making them is inside the inaccessible state building.

As I mentioned above, the two people who are able to fix it have been extremely busy and are technically on an absence from Arelith due to the busyness of real life.

It will be looked at when able.
