Skal - Singing Stones

So in addition to the regular enemies being largely physical immune and constantly throwing rocks at you, while hitting for a ton, which is hard, but fine, I have to raise my eyebrow at the 'Lord of Stone'.

These guys are regular mob spawns that hit for a massive 50 damage each punch and have an AB of /+46+/. If my memory serves correctly, that's marginally higher than the Dragon of Skal. They also appear to be just ever so slightly faster than a PC by default, and give exactly the same XP as their slow moving cousins.

I don't think I can understand why they're reasonable adversaries for a level 17 writ, as a boss, /maybe/.

They also appear to be guarding such epic loot as quartz, obsidian, and some minor assorted low tier gemstones, so it's not like they're even protecting Mithril or Arjale ore, or Diamonds or whatnot. There's not even a chest.

A brutal, brutal dungeon. Thumbs down from Monika, even if it's very pretty.

I’ll agree here somewhat.

I’ve played through Skal one time all the way up to the Singing Stones and the Dragon. The Singing Stones is a long twisting path with a copy paste set of enemies. I don’t believe you can rest in there as well since path twists and turns next to other paths (or it might be restricted, not sure).

Will be honest that it’s one of the hardest dungeons in Arelith. Considering the level someone would be at, this is as difficult as Formian Queen. You definitely need a party of 4-5 to get through the writ itself.

Although this may be the idea behind Singing Stones, only downside is that a lvl30 would have difficulty and this is Skal.

Lords of Stone are an enemy NPC that are commonly found in an area of the Lowerdark usually meant to be done by epic level PCs. I was surprised to see them on Skal myself.

Singing Stones is brutal, and should probably be done in a group of two or three people unless you have a very specific build, but I do like that it's a challenge that requires a very specific solution, or raw stubbornness. I'm going to state the unpopular opinion of that it's fine as it is, as a trio of level 12-15 characters I was in was able to clear the dungeon.
