ESF: Illusion Clone - Limitations

Fairly recently, I noticed something had changed with the illusion clone one gets from ESF: Illusion. Prior to about a week or two ago, you were able to do a variety of useful commands that would help sell a clone as a real person. Now, it feels fairly restrictive and the limitations allow other players to more easily identify something is off.

For a short list of things you could do before but no longer;

- Emote (-sit, -fall, etc)
- Languages (For playing any non-human race or in the UD, it is a very clear sign something is off)
- Disguise after the clone is made
- Change the clone's outfit (using your saved outfits via the loadoutfit commands)

These commands are all used after the -a of course. The largest loss is the ability to enable languages to be used by the clone. I'm uncertain why this was changed, or if it was intended or not. But! It is a sad bit of variety that I wish we could have back.

I've also noticed this, though for me it's been about a month.

This also includes the ability to do other commands, such as -send_image. Basically any command seems to fizzle.

Additionally, we no longer receive messages to the combat log through the clone, where it used to be possible to. For example if someone is whispering to your clone, but you're out of range; it was possible to hear.

I finally looked it up on the forum as it had been bugging me for a while,
And not being able to use a lot of the former things has me rather sad.

I feel the epic spell lost a lot due to its nerf(?).

I believe Kalo changed it around two or so weeks ago.
Not sure if it was announced or not.

It wasn't announced at all, the loss of emotes & languages makes the clone pretty difficult to pass off in a lot of situations.

Also you can't send seagull illusion to people now, which is just really sad. Presumably it was changed to prevent this?

A fix for this is in the pipeline. Illusion Clones will once more be able to access select chat commands (languages, emotes, -disguise, -hood, -helm, -cloak etc.), without the problematic ones being re-enabled.
I've also looked into the disguise issue while I was at it, so NPC names should soon change properly while disguised.

Jubilation!

That is good news.

I wish it could fight a bit again though, even if it was just like one of the Shadow Conj clones, in regards to stats and abilities!

I'd almost just want an epic spell for a more powerful shadow conjuration clone. I don't really know how that'd look, but I'd assume rather than mimicing your stats, it'd have to have something more standard and predictable, and probably, something that doesn't just fill the role of, 'big summon, but for illusionists.'
