Appraising Item Values

Having just accidentally essenced an item to a value beyond what I can use at my level, this suggestion is coming from a place of salt and tears.
Add a widget to certain stores - "Appraiser's Glass" or something like that - that can be targeted on an identified item in your inventory to learn that item's true value. Not only would this be a fun tool for merchants, it would also give players some warning if they were about to over-enchant an item.
Bonus points: The Appraiser's Glass could give more accurate values if you have a high appraisal skill.
