Skal, 'noob-ish' area limited to levels 1-18, with levels 19+ suggested (strongly) that they move onward in a few weeks.

Lodging house with personal rooms, guessing 22ish? rooms that will allow you use 1 storage chest of 20 items, if available. IF available.

8 merchant spots, 2 temporary (3 hour) merchant spots.

2 private residences with a LOT of room, but still 1 20 item storage chest.

Having played there heavily the last 3 weeks, this what I have observed. Granted, there are ebb and flow times and things change.

Lodging, it took almost 3 weeks for me to find one open. That's great for the server, bad for me wanting to store anything. I have not seen a merchant spot come open which leads me to question why, level-wise, that would happen. The temporary (3 hour) merchants spots come open quite often however. The total of 2! private residences, with their very large interior spaces, just scream 'Clan! Guild! Adventuring Company!' but any of those would seriously benefit from more storage than a simple lodging, so you can trade and store for multiple characters to coordinate crafting between specific skills, and pass items along. Ie, the point of being in a clan/guild/adverturing company.

Sure, it isn't needed. But otherwise all that huge space is just wasted in an area that you are time limited in, and that does not have elections/etc in.

Suggestion: Allow private residences in Skal to have 2 storage chests.

Thank you

Almost every quarter is limited to 20 pieces of storage in the entirety of Arelith save for a very few exceptions.
Likewise, with Skal only intended as a temporary place for fresh chars to start out in, I'd argue that you need decidedly less space than at higher levels.

What I could get behind is the lack of something like the settlement storage in other places in Arelith and a lack of temporary stalls. Skal permanent shops are more often miss than hit.

And mind you. There are many many players outside of Skal who do not have access to a house either.
