Howdy!

I've heard that DD Defensive Awareness 2 makes DD virtually immune to sneak attacks (only the first hit and only if the attacker was stealthed are possible)

And I also heard it means you just get to keep your DEX ac while being sneak attacked

So, what is the actual definition of Defensive Awareness 2?

Technically it's being immune to being flanked. This, however, turns into partial sneak attack immunity.

Those who have sneak attack can use their sneak attack on those they're flanking (i.e. they're not the ones the DD is attacking) but since DDs are immune to flanking it means the sneak attacker is no longer fitting the prerequisite.

However, flanking expects the DD to be in combat.

Another upside is that those "flanking" you are no longer receive the +2 AB bonus from flanking.

So basically in a fight between a DD and three sneakers the DD is immune to the sneak attacks AND the flanking +2 bonus, nice
i might go for that extra DD level then lol
