Ever since the beneath the heights zone got reworked and monsters were changed in the area to no longer include Wyvern Spawns, the ability for anyone in the underdark to gather this material has been utterly decimated.

There is one wyvern left in the underdark that is not a non-hostile NPC that you can't really kill for blood. And it's at Riders Peak with the Drow Commander mob.

Now as we all know, Dragon's blood is a pretty important crafting material for a massive amount of things. Which puts everyone in a pretty crappy situation.

If any under darker wants to reasonably get dragons blood. They -have- to go to the surface. It's absolutely mandatory. Which I personally find to be unreasonable. I cannot think of a material that is only found in the underdark that is the same level of necessary for all things as Dragons blood is.

Why were the wyrvens taken out of the Beneath the Heights zone? We seriously need a resolution for this of some kind. Some zone that wyrvens nest in the underdark that aren't non-hostile NPCs mobs whose corpses do not go away and block you from looting their drops.

Heck it doesn't even need to be Wyrvens, that's just the most common source of dragon's blood available in the setting and the example most people default to.

dragon blood is required to make, most prominently, timestop scrolls, and true seeing scrolls.
the latter is a tool that you straight up do NOT pvp without, which puts UD characters at rather severe disadvantage, since their access to said blood is limited, and they can't go gather it without going into the territory where they HAVE TO expect PVP, period.

Perhaps some new dungeon / writ with buncha wild wyverns could help with that issue? Just, wyvern quantity akin to mines near weatherstone/guldoran logging camp. a stable source of that blood.

Because as much as i'd love to have to PVP against multiple opponents 4/10 times i go gather some blood for scrolls
i wouldn't.

Don't forget abeyant templates = each greater/masterwork rune requires 5 dragon bloods.

Also, Dragon Blood that has been in a hunting bag doesn't work for scribing scrolls.

That sounds like that needs to be a bug report. I'm guessing the issue is probably something like the back-end item ID for dragon blood has changed over the years, and the hunting bags produce an older (or newer) item ID than the ones required for scroll-scribing?
