Size bug

I'm now the same size as a human monolith, have confirmed it,

Description
==========
My firbolg used to be a champion of the monolith shape but something changed recently and now im shrinking to human size before a polymorph instead of being a bigger version of all the shapes? was this intentional? I was caught I think in some wild magic from a blood mage but I thought those things had a duration? Just looking to get fixed to my old self.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

just polymophed as any of the giant races

Expected result
-----------------------

the percentage size increase carried over to the polymorphs previously, was 25-50 percent bigger (rough estimate)

Actual result
-------------------

Now it seems it shrinks my polymorph down to normal size, showed a basic monolith for reference I used to stand head and shoulders over it at least.

Misc Notes
----------------
Was this a side effect of the changes made to server recently or an unlisted change or the reuslt of a wild magic surge never wearing off? Being a massive jotunhold guard was my whole motiff

Which Server(s)?
------------------------
All

Gaming Platform(s)?
------------------------------
PC

Not a bug, recent change by Kalo. I'll ask him to announce it.

Was there a particular reason why? it was one the primary allures to the Giant races for me.

As stated by Sincra, this is indeed an intended feature, and I'll update yesterday's announcement to include this later.
The reasons, in no particular order:
  • This was an engine quirk related to the server-specific implementation of certain races, rather than a lore-supported feature.
  • It was possible to metagame the original race of shapeshifted characters via their scaling factor.
  • Upscaled flying shapes like bats flew higher the greater the scaling factor, eventually getting hard to target unless fully zoomed out.
  • Upscaled, already huge shapes were getting way too massive and caused hitbox issues.
  • Polymorphing into a creature means taking on all aspects of said creature, including its size (and mechanical size category).
