Writ Issue: Terrors of the Skaldark - The Cavern of Myrk-Falinn

Issues with the name of the writ being scrambled aside, this writ is a big issue.
It requires you to kill a bunch of enemies in Myrk-Fajlinn, and then kill a violet fungus. You can clear the entire area without finding a fungus.
Why? Because the Fungus is on an island you can only get to by going either through the Subterranean pools (tin mine, xvarts, into subterranean pools with a medium DC lock) or by leaving Myrk-Fajlinn and going south then east, then south (The Craggy maw is upside down for some reason). It's very unintuitive that you can only finish the writ that takes place in a single area by travelling three extra areas in a circle, especially given that with the upside down Craggy Maw, it's very confusing on how to even get there.
For Skal veterans? Pretty easy to remember, but a pain in the butt. For newbies though? You can spend hours looking for a creature that isn't reasonably accessible.
Could we have a land bridge to the fungus from the rest of the area?
