My suggestion is as follows:

-A minor or normal award that allows a character of a Non-Earthkin race to be considered a friend of the Earthkin.
-Allows selection of one of the three Earthkin languages (Gnomish, Halfing or Dwarvish).
-Allows use of Earthkin portals
-Allows use of NPCs that may otherwise restrict features to only Earthkin.
-Appraise check bonus to Earthkin merchants.

The premise behind this award is to be an induvial that has a strong connection to the Earthkin alliance without being one of the three particular races. This could manifest in multiple ways up to the players discretion for RP. Eg. A human that was adopted by a dwarven family as a baby.

This would NOT allow a character to take the Earthkin defender class.
