Currently, that is the recipe for one barkskin potion, could we perhaps change this to create a stack of ten instead of a singular potion? It's easier to simply buy them, at the moment.

Really, most of the cooking potions would benefit from 10 stack recipes.

Yes, and if not 10, make it 5 or something worth while to craft.

These discussions have gone through a few times I recall, suggesting higher stacks, or high CR potions through cooking recipes. Most suggestions offered were nice. Something should definitely be done, though.

Or remove potions from NPCs, thus brewing these more viable. (with stacks of 5) - Since the devs removed the skleens, everyone's trying to become a friend of an alchemist. Which is nice. Removal of +10 kits from shops, made cooking a bit more useful.
These cooking potions require a great amount of effort and materials, and aside RP flavor they have little use.

Yup. Im a strait cook. NEVER had ANYONE ask for potions of barkskin or anything of the sort. People only ask me for my wands :/

not sure about removing potions from npc's but giving cooks more options that are useful is something I agree with.

Potion drops are pretty common.
My experience is when the potions in bulk come into play (when you can afford spending coins on them), they offer only a tiny bonus but they are definity not tools of survival.
Lower level a barkskin AC means the difference between life or death, but at low level you are happy to have a bandit drop one.
From teen levels a pot of bulls, or bark is nice to have. But it would not matter to have those removed from NPCs. (May I add, that I have never needed to buy potions save clarity from npcs, since they are such a common drop)
+Either reducing the ingredient requirements of brewn potions or for the same ammount let we make bulks. Would balance it.

I think the reason we wanted the Bulk option is that even with a reduction in cost, that does not visit the time reasons. The overarching question of this post is that it takes a long time to get through the crafting menu (even with the # system) if your only crafting one potion at at time. If you look at say poultices, you make a stack of 10. Thats what they wanted to have changed.

Definitely this! Or at least 5, something to make it more worthwhile, in addition to the reduction of some of the recipes. It is certainly not worth the time to gather all of those things for ~one potion. Comparable to the arrow bundles. It is much easier to get an ingot & one unit of softwood & consistently make stacks of 99 Arrows rather than going through all the trouble of making bundles.
[The advantage of the bundles of course - however - would be dipping them in essences]

For me the potion making is less about going through the craft menu and more about the list of ingredients equaling a single potion. if it produced a stack of 5 or 10, it would be used more. as it is now, it is not worth gathering them when you can spend some coin and buy them.
(p.s. I am against potions no longer being sold by npc's. NPC's SHOULD sell potions just as PC's can sell potions. NPC's have access to what it would take to supply the potions and live off of the adventurers buying them.)
