Add Additional Ways to Resist Knockdown to reduce need to pay Discipline Tax
The Discipline Tax is extremely high in terms of having to create characters to balance around, due to how popular two feats and a spell in particular are.
Please add in more ways for characters to not have to PAY steep steep prices in investing in Discipline and dweomering gear that adds to discipline. Doing this would not be a net negative for any one single class but a net positive for ALL.
It's really discouraging to have to pay precious skill points that could be used for RP purposes in order to satisfy the projected needs of pvp enthusiasts and for occurrences that only happen 1 to 5% during a character's life span.
Some Spellcaster types for example, have an extremely limited pool of skillpoints, and are also therefore badgered and teased endlessly forced into both in-game and out-of game TAKE discipline "otherwise their character sucks" and "will be put into the don't rely on in battles" pvp categories.
Let there be spells that grant temporary knockdown immunities or discipline buffs. Let there be spells or items that grant such. Or even make it so "Concentration" can provide the same kind of resistance to knocking down or called shots to some kind of extent.
Whatever the case may be, please take a look at this as well because having to pay discipline on EVERY character just to be seen as 'viable' in PVP clearly an issue.
I encourage all detractors of these ideas who simply want to say "Well get gud" or "just invest in discipline more lul" to take a moment to step back and reconsider their words and also consider, just for a moment, that people like to jump into the server and roleplay before projecting their own experiences and ideals to their playstyles. Think of more solutions instead of ways around the existing problem that is just the tired "invest in this 1 particular skill and u never have to worry about it" solution.
