I don't want this to be a long post because it's just not that big of an issue. Anyway, I get that the water looks much cleaner in the new basin models but I'm just not a fan of their overall appearance and thought to make this thread to gauge what broader feelings on them were since my understanding is they're replacements of the old models rather than new additional appearances.

I, personally, am genuinely indifferent to basin appearances as long as there's a model that doesn't look like it's a solid block of rock.

I thought I might be the only one! I prefer the older version, too. I can't even tell that there's water in it unless I'm right next to it, and I'm playing on full graphics. It's by no means a complaint or a request to revert, but since you asked...!

There was a fix that was briefly implemented to make the fixture textures look better and have the water stand out more. It made everything look a lot better and gave the liquid a persistent foaming/rippling effect.

Unfortunately, it got reverted due to patch problems a short while ago and hasn't been put back in yet.

I think they look coated in stoneskin now personally. Not flattering, I liked the look before where you could see colors.

Please understand that you are not judging the proper basin appearance as it has since been modified further. The unfortunate thing is that it was removed until we identify what broke the servers last time - something I still have to dive into.

I would encourage feedback after the fix for it goes back in as to not waste time on an appearance already changed. Saves you guys some posts!

Ah I didn't realize that! Yeah that definitely changes things then.

Just thought I'd add a followup with the new update in that I like the new appearances after all and was just griping over the temporary appearance.
