I typed -Delete_character about six months ago, give or take.

I asked a DM for permission to create another character with the same exact familiar. As in, same name, same backstory, and was previously owned by my old character before that character's death and is now owned by a new character. I was told no.

Is it allowed to create a new character that uses the same type of familiar as one you played previously, assuming they're not literally the same entity? IE: Had a mane named Grindel that typed in a certain way and said certain things. Now have a mane with a different name that acts differently.

Yes, having the same type of familiar is fine. Just not the same Familiar.

this is like asking if you're allowed to play the same race as a previously rolled character
