Troglodyte Queen Writ needs looked at.

Yeah, where do I even start with this writ. Honestly probably up there in terms of Minogons with how awful it is, especially for the level you are meant to take it at. Let me just give my rundown of what feels unfair.

This dungeon has blobs of enemies, specifically somewhat beefy enemies for the level you're meant to fight them at, I am speaking of course about the troglodyte corpse masters. These guys not only hit relatively hard, they also self-buff and mass buff alongside the Troglodyte clerics, this is also ontop of the fact that typically you can find two or three in a blob stacking alongside the clerics. Now the buffs and debuff spam in and of itself isn't a problem, but this quickly snowballs when you learn that the Corpse Masters also summon three rotfiends, that's three more enemies that have a decent chunk of health, and hit decently hard. This is compounded upon by the fact you usually already are having to deal with five to six enemies within the blobs in this dungeon. Things quickly spiral out of control even further, because the corpse masters aren't the only ones that summon things, ontop of getting six rotfiends dropped on you, when you have to fight two of these guys in the already absurdly large groups, the Champion troglodyte mobs can summon dire spiders, adding even more mobs to the already difficult encounter.

I don't know who designed this writ specifically, but I can say having attempted it on several different characters now including an Ogre Barb with DI's, it just is not fun and quite frankly feels unfair.

From my own experience, tribal path barb could solo this writ without much difficulty.

My experience with this writ is hit and miss.

Running into Yellow Tagged Corpse Masters is a nightmare, they are massively tanky, hit very often and quite hard.

Getting Multiple Subterrain Lizard Spawns in the last room is super harsh too.

Not to mention it's a Phylactery boss, with the zone filled with enemies that summon quite often.

I'm not really sure why there's subterranian lizards in this writ. That's honestly the most annoying part.

Lizards should not be a spawn in this writ, and the corpse masters getting three or four at a time of instantly self-buffing enemies just doesn't feel fair. Writ would be fine without the corpse masters they are honestly the biggest issue and feel more like a mini-boss than an actual like mob encounter. They just do not mesh fairly or in a fun way with the rest of the enemies in this writ....ontop of the fact its a phylactery.

I honestly would think that the subterrarian lizards being removed from spawning in the final chamber would be enough to really balance the writ out.

You can handle the rest if you are careful, but getting a yellow corpsemaster and 2 lizards in the final throne room, and having the lizards break the gates down so you can't even control the flow of enemies is honestly the worst part of the writ.

I never take this writ intentionally for the reasons outline above. (it's also LONG)

Did you know the corpse masters are undead? I think they might even be considered 'mindless' because halt undead never failed on them. They can also be turned and undeath to deathed. Once I realized that, it made the harder parts of the writ pretty easy for me and I solo'd it.

Don't like it due to it's a length, never found it to difficult just to long.
Done it with hexblade strength based , warlock sumoner, shaman.
Hexblade struggled abit until i switched from 2 handed to sword and board, took it slow and completed it, was quite expensive to do due to the amount of buffs and healing but low AC builds do get hit more.

Just recently did this writ alone and I think It's pretty good. First time I died because I was careless, but on second try- Going at it in with a more tactical approach I triumphed. So it honestly seems pretty well balanced to me.

I found that it was pretty easy to get overwhelmed running ahead carelessly. But that just seems like the name of the game when you're storming a fortress.
