this is new behavior since the quarter chest overhaul that happened recently.

shop name is Duty Free shop, it's attached to the feasthall tavern quarter. I send all proceeds to a faction account called Bitter Coast Smugglers

The tax should be going to the tavern owner's bank account. Is this something you are able to test?

not anymore sine I lost the lease but I'll take your word for it. I'd never seen that behavior before and have owned that quarter a few times now. maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention, which would be on-brand for me.
