I found this as well, I casted Charm Monster on a merchant and my prices went way below my average for that merchant.

The Charm spells no longer have any impact on merchants using the updated Appraise system. See the wiki article for details on how it works now. If it's giving a different readout that's going to be a different issue, one which was brought up prior but difficult to narrow down what exactly changes the readout. I've observed the readout for someone in my party saying one thing and my own saying lower and the gold value caps were the same between the two, so something else is going on there.

Charm was (quite quickly) removed from the appraise system.
It shouldn't have any bearing on it.

But I'd appreciate a thread reporting general oddities on the appraise/merchant reactions.
