I was playing with a melee dirgesinger (no bard levels, can't cast spells) who has dirge of awakening, but it seems like the problem of getting 0-level undead if you use any magic items is still happening. I know if you are a caster you can cast a spell to refresh your undead level but is there anything a non-caster can do, or is this just broken and unfixable?
