A suggestion or two :) Because we like loot

So, I got to thinking the other night while i was exploring around a new area that i've never been to.
So, spawns have a chance to drop low quality gems. You never see gems in a chest. Why? Do our monsters not like shiney objects?
I think low to mid quality gems should be added to the chest loot matrix. Not weapon racks or armor closets. But just the chests.
The lowbie chests, the little square ones would spawn things like green stone, malachite, phenolope and flourspar.
The medium chests: Adventurine, amethyst, alexandrite, fire agates ect.
the large chests (the big box ones and the skinny long ones) have things like Saphire, fire opal ect
the epic chests(whatever they look like) everything else.
I dunno its just something that occured to me while going around. Plus maybe if there is a dragon near by there could be a boost to that particular chest. Nothing like opening a chest guarded by a dragon for a measly 60 coins.
But yeah, thats my idea.
Enjoy!

The main challenge we have with loot is that for performance reasons each palette is capped at 100 items. So if we put gems in, we have to take something else out!

We've also created gold spawns that work like chests but only give gold. We put a number of those in different dragon lairs, but that sort of thing is an ongoing work as we overhaul and revisit spawns in the module.
