Lance when riding

(Just read the post about horses and thought about a lance.)
Would it be possible to make spears that...
- only can be used when riding,
- have a (e.g.) 50% chance of braking when hit a traget,
- very high damage and extrem critical
- kockdown effect???
( + special magic versions like extra damage against dragons)
something like that could simulate a lance.
