5 years of playing, Kudos

Post by Jimmeyred »

I want to give a kudos, in my five years of playing, to everyone who has given me a spectacular run on Arelith. I think these people are great, and I'll explain why with each one.

Septire - Salindra Montraven, Xei'Zex, Nathaniel Hawke, Dartak Sehlek.

Septire introduced me to Arelith, and he has played on this server for 10 years now. He has shown me the ropes, and patience. He has taught me how to Roleplay, and seen to helping all sorts of other newcomers, making the Arelith experience much nicer for us all. Septire is an outstanding roleplayer himself, willing to become a side character in the endeavor of increasing the spotlight on other roleplayers. Thank you.

Emperion - Laron Blake, Gorath, Ezekiel.

One of my best friends in real life, so I'll try to be as objective as possible here. His roleplay, and ability to fit into a character is phenomenal. He slips into the mindset of whichever character interests him with seeming ease, and plays them exceedingly well. I've vastly enjoyed playing this server with you, and loved all your characters.

I know him as Jimmy, you may know him as: Abel Nalbandian, Norick, Dalreth Blackwater, Hewitt Gearbit, Skarne Kempt, Kharne Riscorve, Adriana and others.

I don't think I know anyone more versatile than Jimmy, he plays all these polar opposite roles so well. It's hard to believe it's him playing sometimes, going from one character to the next. I also always enjoy playing with him, because he's always happy. (Almost annoyingly so sometimes...) And he's very encouraging and encompassing of all sorts of people in his roleplay.

Indigolord - Grakar Stormrender, Orion Gend, and a handfull of alts

Always enjoyed playing with this guy, he makes things fun and interesting, and he's not afraid to have his characters stand out. Also an excellent player for allowing other characters to take precedence , and bend his rp if necessary to help everyone have fun.

Salasker Dusk

I don't even know where to begin. Almost everyone has heard of him. Salasker is one of the most in depth, and cool RPers I have ever encountered. My experiences with him were nothing short of absolutely mesmerizing, and immersive. Salasker wraps and involves everyone he can into a story, making a place for all willing to participate, an excellent RPer, and awesome guy IRL too.

Armen Roth, and his alts

Armen was a great bad guy, sitting behind the scenes, arranging Cordor to his whims. It was loads of fun watching him develop and rise up, and taking orders from him. As a player he had other characters I vastly enjoyed, and I always had fun with the man. You could be sure his characters were up to some overhanging, nefarious plot of some sort, and that when it hit, it hit hard.

Tsien - Sarog Pethanos

Lots loved him, lots hated him. I loved him. I never got to experience the so called 'Golden Age' of his evil organisation, the Covenant, though the stories always intrigued. I was, however, lucky enough to have had a fair few RP sessions with him. Playing with Sarog, felt like being in a novel. He was the boogeyman of the server, the shadow creeping in the background, and just an excellent character. Sarog would make you feel, no matter you level or significance to their group, important. (But that's how he reeled you in!) Anyways, great Roleplayer.

Darkus_Nulstarius - Gabriel Malic

(I hope I got your username right) Sarog's right hand man, Gabriel, was one hell of a character as well! He created all kinds of rituals, and fun RP things to do behind the scenes, and built a lot of the Covenant's foundation. The times I had roleplayed with him, it was always unnerving, and he stood as a very imposing and intimidating figure. I know he also played another great character, Shalifil, however, I did not get to RP much with the elf, so I don't have much to say. I will say this, however, if he RPs Shalifil as well as he did Gabriel, then there's no doubt that it's nothing short of impeccable.

Kiya Ashklaw

The user had other characters as well, though I believe they were to be kept separate, so I shall not spoil. Anyways, another amazing Roleplayer who plays kobolds to the letter. Her characters are so formed and shaped by their environment, and she totally lets the world around her influence how her character's develop. If you want interesting stories, I'd seek her out.

Stath Stoutheart

My god, do I ever love Stath. He makes everything fun, and funny. A silly at times, and at other times dead serious character, who brings excellent roleplay to the table. Stath has interacted with a few of my characters, and only made me want to come back to Arelith after any departures I took. Thank you so much for playing here.

Jolly Fiddlesticks

Winning council-ship for, I don't know how many times in a row, this crafty gnome was an epic constant to Cordor. I loved RPing with Fiddlesticks, you never knew what was going on underneath the surface. He was a clever, tricky little gnome who practically ran the entire city some of the time. Kudos to you, I miss you!

Hogdish

Along the end of Fiddlesticks, when I first started playing, Hogdish was the guard commander. This half orc, despite always catching my bad guy doing bad guy things, was my favourite guard commander. He was an awesome character I miss dearly.

Sincra Talos

A great, crazy old mage at the arcane tower. When I first went there, I remember this guy always talking about chickens, turning things into chickens primarily. Well, at first I thought he was just silly, but as I got to see him more, and of course, develop more as a roleplayer myself, I came to appreciate him. He brought a dynamic to the tower, that quirky, fun craziness that made the place all the more fun.

Arthur Goodmane - Sarrah Goodmane

I had some great Roleplay with you, even if it was mushy stuff. Still though, an awesome, go with the flow player, who dove into RP even if they knew OOCily it might hurt their character. Had an awesome experience with you, thank you for some of the epic, character developing moments!

Giogi Silveroak

Another Cordor constant, you can count on this elf to get things done. Cordor goes bankrupt? No problem, Giogi's there. (Even if it was my fault) Cordor needs someone to step up as councilor? Giogi will do it. Awesome reliability with this guy, and great character too! This super calm, kind hearted elf goes about his business in a great way, and I'm sure glad to have him around!

Gravyen Wolff

This Wharftown waymen character was yet another one who would bend his RP, and go along with the flow of story. I love when a player is willing to change their character based on the roleplay around them, in an appropriate way. Grayven was definitely one of these people, who ran a faction well, and did what he did to make things fun. Thank you, Grayven!

Radeq Hearne

A great monk who played it well. It was amazing to have roleplayed with you, Radeq. You always kept true to your monk, even if it felt tedious at times. I loved to hear the wisdom your character would impart, and the way you'd be patient, and stop and think about matters to answer properly. A tribute to wisdom based characters.

Elanor Shortwick

Epic little hin, fun attitude, loved to play with her. The player has many other characters, but again, alts and all... She plays versatility well, also. Her characters respond well to change, and she is a very adaptable person, willing to, again, bend to make the game more fun for other people. I really enjoyed playing with you.

Abidan Caelius

Awesome guy. Period. Played councilor with him for a bit, also grinded with him on another tune. Every moment with Abidan was a blast, sometimes he made sudden decisions, unleashing an end result that was either great, or terrible. Other times, Abidan pondered over things carefully before making a move. A realistic and well played character, thank you for playing with me, man!

Honorable Mentions

Ok, so I know there are a lot of people out there who may not have been mentioned. These are players I've ever heard a lot about, and did not get to roleplay with, or simply, did not get to roleplay with much.

Amadeo Pneuma, Vippin, Nyhmax, Daijin Helefnarian (I have no idea how to spell your last name),Vistigor Torkill, Carver, and many others!

Thank you to everyone who has made my experience on Arelith as well as it has been. :)
