Fey

Fey characters are sort of in a weird place that they don't fit hugely well with a lot of other races, given how Weird they are. Everyone's got a different idea of what being a fey creature actually means and their alignment restrictions locks them out of a lot of potential concepts. Additionally, Fey are way, way out there on the differentness scale compared to other subraces and even (I'd argue) Dragons/Rakshasa. Fey are also tied with dragons as third-least played subrace, despite not having the same degree of playing restrictions as Genasi or Dragons do, no doubt due to how very different and undefined they are, and how restricted they are in alignment. So, to that end:
Change the description of the subrace from being an actual proper Fey creature, to just a fey-touched mortal, named Fey Blood, Fey-Touched, Tinkerbell's Boytoy, w/e. Selectable by any base race. Changelings (Mortal children stolen by the fey of one of the two courts for Reasons) might fit v well actually.
Change appearance of the subrace to default, with (Possibly) some very subtle VFX thrown on it. The Sparkle effect pixies already have, one of the eye-glows not used for warlocks, or something similarly v minor.
Have Fey by default be counted as in the Fey group for the purposes of deities, and start with Animal as a racial language
Change alignment restrictions to any chaotic/any non-lawful
Possibly adjust subrace abilities because Fey can start with something like 29 charisma with the right base class and that's kind of bonkers? +2 CHA, +2 Dex?
