Borin says thank you.

So, after more than a year where I could not stick with a character, I one day decide to pick one I had made and put aside many years ago, thinking it wouldn't last long either.

I was wrong. Half a year later I am still playing and having a lot of fun with this dwarf.

It started as just a basic concept that would allow me to roam the isle at will, relax, and have fun. It quickly became that and much, much more.

And that is only because of the people he ended up meeting.

It kind of started with just randomly stumbling into Liunia. Which led to a connection with a lot of the elves, then with the Knights of the Road and associates.

Then there were the Wharftownians. And then there was Rannos and Guldorand. And then there is the ever tempting Brogendenstein and there is Bardin.

On top of all of that, there is the module itself that is so perfectly built from the get go, and very much so improved in recent years, that it makes playing a real wanderer and outdoorsman not only possible, but a lot of fun.

So, yes, thank you. I usualy do these only when I kill off a character, but things've been too much fun not to do so now.

Borin is tight as h*ck my man. Andylos' and Borin's discussion on pretty caves in the Underdark is, as "minor" as it may have been in the grander scheme, still one of my favourite memories with him, a humanizing moment that wouldn't have happened without the grumpy one-eyed dwarf wanderer.

Borin is awesome. Edra has massive respect for the character, and I have huge respect for the player.

Well, it has been five real life days since my character entered a settlement. Food, water, rest, healing, he has been negotiating all of these things out in the wild. Add to that the way in which the areas are made, with criscrossing paths and many alternate routes (some hard to find) to the same destinations, plus the ammount of interesting content, built in or player made, that keeps you wanting to learn more, see more, find more.

I, at least, love this stuff.

You've pioneered a new type of ranger RP on Borin, and by a ripple effect, made a lot of interesting RP situations for settlement leaders and settlement guards alike.

I didn't realise how cool the population scripts could be until I met Borin. You should feel exceptionally proud of yourself for creating something like this, and setting the new standard. Borin is easily one of the most influential characters I've met so far.

Kudos right back at ya.
