I start a new job tomorrow. found a good excuse for gem to go into hiding

It's a big regret of mine that I never really got to interact with Gem on my characters while I had the chance. I have massive respect for the way you were able to so quickly integrate and begin contributing to a settlement. Burrowhome was(is?) lucky to have you.

I was really enjoying the earthkin politics we all did together, for as long as it lasted. Was really looking forward to the council, too.

But, all's well, that ends well or so they say.

I've grown to be terrible over the years at making lists and sounding sincere in kudos threads. Not sure why. It's just a thing that happened. I'm going to make a small attempt to rectify that by saying that I really loved all the various characters I met on Gemina. She was meant to be a character I played for a weekend just to check in on the server. It lasted longer than a weekend but not as long as I would have liked. Thank you to everyone my character met and everyone that tolerated her after that meeting.

There are lots and lots of people I could and should list were I to do a list, but I strongly suspect you all know who you are and how much I enjoyed our interactions.

I'm not going to make that list though. What I am going to do is note leather leaf/Elijah: it is not terribly often you see settlement leaders just hand over the reins to a level five character and say "hey I've got some rl obligations, run with what you're doing".

Elijah did that multiple times and it was that confidence in the player base that allowed a group of younger Earthkin to grow as they could.

All the rest of you, clearly I adore you...but big picture...it's important to remember it was a player who wasn't concerned about their own personal success that let so many others have fun
