Is this at all possible? http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Duelist
I know the above link is a hak prestige class but so far Arelith has managed to pull off some classes not normally found in NWN without haks. It doesn't have to be implemented in its entirety. The essential feature would be Canny Defense.
Key Points:
The reason for having this class is that anyone who wishes to play a dexterous swordsman who does not use a shield is gimping themselves. Currently the only way to make such a character work is to pick monk levels but that doesn't make much sense from a roleplay point of view.
[Edit:] As an added note, one could make use of the obsolete parry skill in combination with Duelist class levels to provide bonuses to light weapons.

The feat would essentially be Monk AC bonus without the need for monk levels and based on intelligence instead of wisdom.Canny Defense wrote:May add their intelligence bonus to AC, limited by class level. This ability does not function while wearing any armor or shield.
Key Points:
- The Duelist cannot wear armor or a shield, similar to a monk.
- This class would only ever use one handed weapons. No one should be getting bonuses when using a two-handed sword or a shield. I'm not sure about dual wielding, although taking three feats is enough of an investment that I wouldn't consider it an overwhelming advantage, considering you're giving up armor (light armor included) to gain the bonuses.
- Limiting the bonus with class levels as well would be a good way of stopping an epic wizard from picking the class. Multiclassing too much into anything else would be detrimental if you wanted to gain the bonuses.
