Tianae's Kudos & Farewell

Post by Dr_Hazard89 »

Tianae's story ended suddenly and unexpectedly and I'm very sorry for it. I'm especially sorry to Myon, and for all those who have ongoing stories/RP with the character. I don't do a lot of these kudos threads, but I think some of you really deserve a shout-out for making my playing experience on this character so amazing, so fun and so memorable.

Ilyana (Temperance) (And other accounts): Playing with you has been the most emotional and enjoyable time I've ever had on Arelith. I've never been so invested in characters or their relationships. The countless hours/days we've spent RPing together are priceless memories that stand out to me more than any other I've accumulated in any RPing sessions, ever period forever. Your characters are deep, lovable and always interesting and fun. Your characters are so real that they change my characters, with real growth and development. In a game I have been playing since launch, on a server I have been playing on and off for far too long, losing interest and being sucked back in over and over .. You brought a whole new life to the game and server for me, and made it feel more alive than it ever has. I found myself constantly waking up earlier, willingly (not something I do, ever) and staying up later, just to squeeze in more time with you. Your characters make the world feel like a world, and they suck me into that world entirely .. I could easily lose myself in these fantasies if I let it happen. I can't give you enough kudos or thanks for everything. You're the best. I may always smile/cry a little thinking back on how lovely things were, and to me that's the best kind and highest quality of RP. The kind that gives me real feelings. Like a heartbreaking/warming book or movie~ it's the pinnacle of entertainment value for me, and what I search for in RP, and you deliver it effortlessly. All the internet points go to you.

Laynaruil: Tianae's first friend. They shared an early bond that I feel flourished into a loving friendship that persisted until the end. A very strong roleplayer. I wish you all the luck with Myon. Tianae will always remember that first adventure and the lovely desserts that followed.

Fe'edath (Fifi): Such an adorable sweetheart. Such a fierce warrior. Such a caring and loyal friend. Among the first of Tianae's friends, I will always remember the time Tianae dubbed this brutal-barbarian "Fifi" rather arbitrarily in the depths of the Bloodmoon Orc Dungeons. She has grown and developed so much since her creation and it's been a pleasure to watch and be a part of.

Vanion: You will forever be Tianae's King. An amazing leader with more wisdom and cunning hidden away inside him/behind closed doors than most would ever believe. Externally a very charming and fun personality. They shared a similar sense of humor and a type of understanding with one another, like only two crazy high elves can. No matter which character I have been on, your RP has always been very inclusive and that is important and appreciated. You bring my characters into the fun and let me have a role, and that's great.

Aunilarra Zau'myr: Top quality RPer. I had so much fun with our master/slave RP. A character that has had a permanent impact on Tianae. We could speak endlessly for hours, entire days and nights sometimes and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Aunilarra feels so real. To me, the realest of all the Drow I've ever encountered on Arelith by far. Not once was I bored, uncomfortable or frustrated with the slave experience .. on the contrary, OOCly I was having a blast. Very difficult to pry yourself away from such a great roleplayer who is so fun to interact with.

Keryvian: Ever since first meeting him, Tianae has held a quiet and reserved admiration of this elf. Perhaps he is her spirit animal. She would find Keryvian agrees with her where no one else, at the time, would. A superbly played character who sticks true to his race and faith but is not pigeon-holed by it.

Arakh: For being the best bad guy Myon has had during this characters life. Great to interact with ICly and always leaves room for fun/RP after hostile interactions. Always made sure I was comfortable, happy and having fun OOCly aswell and that's very sweet and appreciated.

Myr: Family. Always there to listen and talk, or just to sit in silence with and stare out into nothingness together. A true and trusted friend, and a very well developed and in-depth character. Stay away from dark chocolate.

Sorry to anyone I've missed, but the list could go on endlessly. Some blanket Kudos~

Firstly to Myon, one of the settlements I have been most heavily involved in since early days. On all my elven characters, Tianae being no exception, I have always found the community welcoming and inclusive, while sticking true to elven ways and maintaining a high quality RP atmosphere. Very immersive. Thank you all for everything, once again.

Iron Order of Elven Death deserves a kudos too.. for being such an active and fierce bunch of bad guys, with such extensive reach. For months, Arelith forest was a pvp-zone multiple times per day, and it was impossible to ignore the evil and danger from this impressive force of enemies. Yet you all always found a way to be inclusive and make sure everyone was having fun, win or lose. A few memorable moments are Slag (Slagnar?) the gnoll who carried Tianae to her cell. Serro who beat my fresh elf into a pulp on the beach, and gave her the crazy determination that lead to so much of her rapid success and development. And especially Arakh who on multiple occasions was a delight to sit down and talk to.

Brog! RP between Myon and the dwarves has been a blast. Few know how to make an elf feel elfier than a very dwarfy dwarf. From the Thane, to Gar the runecaster, Numal and all the rest.. such a great ally and such a great settlement to go to for some top notch RP and conversations.

Aw, Tianae was always fun to RP with and Yeto and I were looking forward to catching up with her after he got back. Even though Yeto and Tianae disagreed on many points, he had a lot of respect for the little elven wizard and he enjoyed watching the relationship between Ilyana and Tianae flourish from the moment when Ilyana babbled about Tianae back in Cordor to the not-so-subtle suggestion of a room for sale in Myon and some lighthearted teasing of the easily embarrassed pair. It will be a little less magicy around Myon without Tianae, but I will remember her well :)

I can say, without shame, that *some* tears were shed and echo everything that's been said. Playing Ilyana has been the best time I've had in my short tenure on this server, and that's in no small part because of Tianae and you. You both brought and introduced her into an environment she could grow in, but challenged her- helping her change and develop in wonderful ways. Wonderful ways I could never plan for. Neither my heart nor my sleep schedule was spared, as I easily lose track of time amidst roleplay, only heading off when I couldn't even complete a coherent sentence. Much like my character, I'll be holding these memories dearly when I think about my time on the server. Thank you, so much.

I can't wait to see where you take things next, don't be shy.

Heck! There's one less cute couple for Alice to gush over.

Oh the year was 1778...

Ah, and there I hoped Morthos would run into her some more times! Hats off to you, mister!
In the depths, no one can hear you scream...

Well, they can, but it's really muffled.

Myr alternated between respecting Tianae's logical intellect and going "Oh god why" when she was in a more fey mood. We shared a lot of fun times together, and the entire capture and post-capture RP really brought the two of them together. She was a motivated, driven character. She was loved and she'll be missed. Take care!

PS: Dark Chocolate is bad, but tempting.

T, a shame her story ends like that, for I have wished to RP with you more, who's going to listen to Fifi's crazy fantasies now? She will be missed.
But again thank you for all the fun times, on all your characters i enjoyed all the interactions i had with Sylali, and even more with Tianae, in hope to play with you again sometimes.

We didn't get to role play much together but every interaction I loved and I was just hoping to unravel a few threads. Especially after our last meeting. Durn elf not taking Garmr up on his offer.

Honestly great rp mate, I look forward to your next concept! *raises a horn of mead*
