Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
This is tough. I have very much enjoyed playing Faeren, she has a personality and way of acting that are all her own and I am reluctant to conclude her Arelith adventures. In her months of exsistance I feel like she has had an incredibly full experience.
I strongly dislike any of my characters lingering for months and months and growing stale so I guess this is the best way to go.
There are some thank yous that are certainly in order! Faeren was shaped by the environment and those that interacted with her. If not for certain players Faeren would have been an entirely different character.
1. Jonah Reihlin... I am not personally a fan of RP lovy and kissy stuff but Jonah swept Faeren off her feet in a way that surprised even me. I dont know if you still check the forums but you were one of the best Rpers I have ever encountered. Your development of Jonah from his past as a follow of cyric, to a follower of Ilmater and growing Jonah up from the dorky thin kid to the man that Faeren ended up marrying was fantasic. Never once have I regretted marrying Faeren to Jonah. The RP was simply great.
I dont know where your RL has taken you, but I also thank you for when you had to leave, for giving Me artistic ability of Jonah so I could contiue to weave him into Faeren's life. He was the biggest impact on her as a character and every choice she made after their marriage was based on him.
Faeren did everything to prepare for the family Jonah wanted to start. Nothing mattered more to Faeren then that future child. And in true Faeren fashion, she messed it all up and began one of the most dangerous chapters of her story while carrying the child she and Jonah had so dearly wanted.
The amount of intrigue and depth Jonah added to Faeren was immense
2. Ceviran... A great companion, they argued sometimes, called eachother names, and even got into a bit of a fight! But ultimately, they were friends. Faeren will forever tease Cev about Inge! Cev was simply always a pleasure to interact with and I very much so enjoyed seeing him react to Faeren's choices aswell as what part he played in influencing and shaping Faeren.
I look forward to seeing you again!
3. Armenius... Ive given you kudos before so I'll keep this one short. You were the realest villian I have ever encountered idc what anyone says about Wharftown you did a fine job making a story. Armenius shaped Faeren in a massive way.
4. Kent Delocke... It is unfortunate that our time as fellow Green Hawks got
cut short by the happenings of Rp. You were the best recruit of any of them and I was thrilled to received journals of notes on tasks Faeren would assign. So many people jump on board then disappear out of no where and I am very glad this was not the case for Kent.
Whatever his plans are remain a mystery to me. I hope you continue Kents story.
5. Arael Laceflower... We did not spend as much time together as I would have hoped! But Arael was a fantastic character who could be interacted with and understood in a clear manner. She was a Cordorian. She inspired Faerens own love for the city and believe it or not it was Araels almost zealous devotion to Cordor that Faeren so admired that drove her to stand up against what Faeren viewed as a mockery of True Cordorians and endure any consequences that came for standing by her beliefs, even if it meant becoming a traitor.
6. Elona Winsbane... Truthfully Faeren resented Elona for her soft attitude during the wharftown war. But when Faeren was captured by the people she had nightmares of? Elona litterally climed into the mouth of the beast, giving her life to the hands of thugs while pregnant just to save Faeren
In the dungeons when all Faeren could do was cry and scream for Elona I have never felt such intense emotions. It was a dark, and highly emotional part of Faeren's exisrance. It hurt me a bit to type out each painful emote, and watch my beloved character suffer such a horrible consequence for her actions. But all that terrible made for her rescue to be all the sweeter,
All the more amazing and emotional.
Maybe something that is hard to understand is that I felt real pain seeing Faeren tortured. But I also felt real joy when she escaped on behalf of Elona. I rp for those moments of real emotion.
Elona saved Faeren's life and saved her from an exisrance of slavery. She will never, ever forget that. Elonas compassion and mercy struck her hard. Elona was a true illmateri.
7. Gharmyl... Faeren wasn't sure how to feel about him. His ever lasting neutralitiy no matter what bothered her immensly, she resented him for it even. Yet Ghatr emained a family friend and a friend of Jonahs and Faeren was very excited to show him her new baby, baby arabel still has the stuffed toy Ghar gave her!
So thanks for being a fun rper and fun to interact with.
8. Ghestaldt... Our interactions have been brief but i very much so thank you for playing a character that does not back down or change his actions because of OOC stuff. Giving Faeren asylum was a huge roll of the dice for both of us and continuing to back her afterwards, even after attack and potential conflict with Cordor? I cannot lie. I was afraid the stakes might get to high and Ghest would back out, but he didn't he remained true to his character and was like a true dwarf! An unmoving rock.
Truthfully, I was looking forward to bothering him with more cordorian and human issues. The Rp of Brog sheltering a person wanted for high treason from Cordor? The rp was just so so rich. I was absolutely thrilled it played out like it did. I really wanted to push that conflict farther!
In summary!
Faeren was shaped by each of you, and so many more I could not hope to remember and recount them all. I've had a blast playing Faeren, she easily takes the #1 spot as my most favorite of my characters. But without the interactions everyone gave her? She would have never Developed into the amazing character that she became.
So thank you.
I'll be keeping her around for a few more days. There are closing rps I'd like to have before she, Jonah, and Arabel depart. Feel free to PM me if you want to meet up at a certain time
It was difficult to close my last character and even more so this one. It's like the ending of a good book that I wish /wouldn't/ end, i want it to go on forever. But since I've been rping on Arelith I've come to respect and cherish endings. They are bitter sweet. But I look forward to what comes next.
Fortunate people often have very favorable beginnings
And very tragic endings.
What matters isn't being applauded when you arrive -
for that is common -
but being missed when you leave.

Re: Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
Despite Kyle's attitude towards her in the end, I really enjoyed watching the progression of Faeren. Some people accused you of playing her just like Lynn, but I saw her as a very very different person. I loved how you allowed external stimuli to influence how she reacted and viewed things, like when kyle got himself creamed for jumping to defend her on the way back from Wharftown. I was quietly rooting for Faeren to overcome her anger and hatred and become a better person, but circumstances didn't allow it, at least while she was still in Cordor. And sometimes that just happens. Despite Kyle's forsaking her, I loved Faeren as a character. I saw in her zealotry, patriotism, passion, forgiveness, compassion. Things a lot of others probably never noticed, and those layers are what really made me love her. I hope to get to play with another of your great characters again soon. <3

Once a guard, always a guard.
Gonna miss how she pushed up against Sarina initially, and I was actually kind of pleased to see her come around to Sencliff that one last time. It was a unique reunion and turn of events.
Thank you for the scenes.

Re: Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
I liked the few snarky exchanges between Faeren and Leuthar, they were fun. Good luck out there.
Re: Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
I have to admit, Faeren .. it took a while to actually get to understand her and where she was coming from even if there were time Lacroix disagreed with her. But, it was good to see someone that stayed so strongly to what they believed in.

Eilonna came to care a lot for Faeren, wanted to help her find peace and the love she truly deserved, I wish Eilonna could have come to see you one last time, but sadly she could not. I am glad we got to enjoy the rp! Looking forward to your next PC.

Re: Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
I feel like there always was tension between Gharmyl and Faeren due to their differing opinions, yet they remained very good friends anyway. He also broke his "oath of neutrality" here and there, only because of her. In his case, I think that means a lot.
Always a pleasure and fun RPing with you. I hope I meet your next character soon!

Rip, The Wizard still has your Wharftown Waymen's sign, framed and everything. You were the first one who was right about Armenius and Wharftown... If only people listened!

Re: Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
She saved Shanna when nobody else could, and prevented her from what would surely have been either a slow death or even greater toment and possible long term slavery. Shanna will be greatful to Faeren forever that she was abe to return to her family that night.

Re: Faeren Reihlin, an ending.
The Wizard... *Angry fist shake* I had searched for you ICly but could never find any leads. Faeren was very interested in extracting some revenge for his presence during her capture! XD
As a side note... I was inspired a bit by a DM to push Fae's story all the way through. I was content to just whisk her away to happily ever after but for her final moments whether they turn out to be good or bad I guess her ending rests squarely in how the RP unfolds.

Wasn't I part of a group that enslaved you at one point? Or am I thinking of someone else? Lol

Fae was never enslaved (very close to though!)
