Adventure mode

More effective EXP. I like it.

I can spend more time working now and not lag behind.

Yes.
Despite some concern that it may need some tweaking, I've been expecting an update on this vein for a long time, and I'm quite glad that it's finally here.

I absolutely love this. I end up not grinding for days pretty often on characters because I'm busy in endless meetings @_@ This is awesome. I feel way less concerned about falling behind in levels now.

This actually helps me out a lot because I don't enjoy grinding as much as I used to. This is a great idea and implement! Thank you!

I've been playing with this for a little bit, I think it's pretty cool. I always hated doing the lasso thing, but now I can just play normally and rake in the juicy adventuring exp.

There have been a number of awesome changes to Arelith over the past year or so. This is definitely another one which is solid gold.

Thank you!

I go through moods of wanting to grind things, wanting to RP heavily, or both. It's great to have a feature to really help make the most of all of these. :)

RP only starts at 30 if you're a coward.

Just last night I was talking about how it'd be great if adventuring XP just kept getting expanded into a full on 'achievement' style XP ticker for doing things like crafting your first item, owning your first quarter, shop, first time citizenship, etc, and lo and behold, here it"s added today, along with a great change for wand/scroll crafters. You guys are rocking it out lately.

Yeah, I'm really happy with what we've been seeing lately, and I'm particularly happy with the addition of 'adventure xp' for crafting your first of any given item.

Though some of these values may seem low, they leave us room for more ways to gain adventure XP in future. If we made the values too high then we'd run into trouble with this further down the road.

Even so, crafting everything your character is able to now adds up a lot of xp.

I say it often, but I am so happy with the team we have now, and deeply grateful to them for their continued work on improving Arelith. Every week seems to bring something new and exciting right now, and behind all of that is a great deal of work from our team of volunteers.

I haven't even used or seen either of these last 2 updates yet and I am happy, lol. When I read the idea of the adventure mode in Suggestions I was saying that's one hell of an idea. The Dunshine goes in saying "Interesting idea", then BAM, it's added. Has to be the coolest and fastest idea implemented I've seen here. Maybe not THE coolest, maybe not THE fastest, but coolest AND fastest, lol.

three thumbs up *Shifty eyes*

It's great. And even if it wasn't, sometimes a change is as good as a holiday.

Both adventure mode and the original adventure XP system are conceptually brilliant, and wonderfully implemented.

Just as I learned to appreaciate the continually tickling in RPR xp and later the adventure xp.... Absolutely in love with this mode: not only does it help make it so that RPing in town doesn't feel like "wasted time you could've spent grinding".... It encourages a healthy mix of adventuring and RP time.
