Monk Arcane Archer Build
Been curious about making one, but I can't seem to figure out if Zen archery would be the way to go. That would definitely influence how I lay out my attributes. Does anyone have insight, tips, or tricks?

Either you put all into wisdom and be rubbish at melee, or you are splitting between strength and wisdom where at least one will suffer a bit

Zen Archery is optimistic and hard to pull off. It is slightly weaker than dex based version of this build but it by no means useless (except in melee. quite useless in melee).
pros
-wis ac remains when flat footed
-wis gives will save which is more important than reflex (since you got nice reflex regardless and you also have imp evasion)
-wis gives Spot which is a super nice boon for RP in my opinion (since you can get like 80 spot, gl disguising against that)
-insane stunning fist dc (so you can cheese people with truestrike/divine power if you want)
cons
-no melee. at all. nothing.
-suboptimal stealth mode
-less synergy with race and gear (means you have -1 ab and ac in comparison to the dex build end game)

Add to that list of cons: WIS AC doesn't count against touch attacks.

Maybe Zen archery wouldn't be best for me, lol.
For the DEX based version of this build how much should I invest in WIS and CHA (for the few Bard levels I'll take)? Would it be worth going for bard spells beyond level one?

Nope.
8 wis, 8 cha. from building perspective.
Essentially you want to go 6 monk, 3 bard and start aa. 9th monk lvl comes at 21 and 4th bard lvl comes at lvl 30.

If you go for monk/bard/aa, remember to be a full Elf, not a half-Elf; otherwise you won't be getting longbow proficiency!
