this is utter crap.

Yeah this kudo's thread is nothing short of a dig at anyone playing the class atm. i mean they weren't even offered a -remake to a huge change to their characters.

they lose all their ab, their ac, and their DR? wow WMs are back on unbeatable territory who isn't happy?

The lack of counterplay to knockdown means that Dragon Shape is now only useful to druids who dip into a discipline class. I wouldn't waste the feat on a pure druid. Dragons are cool and all, but I'm not keen on being locked in a knockdown spam.

Pure druids still get those boss elemental forms, though.

Other than that, I'm 100% on board with this. It was absolutely needed.

DS was broken, so yay.
WM's aren't unbeatable (?)

I also wouldn't take the feat on a pure druid, but, good for a dip druid!

Edit: Heh, dip druid.
Thankfully this team is no longer being used.

Nothing's changed on that front as Dragonshape was formerly only useful to people who cross-classed monk. Old dragonshape was fairly mediocre, given the investment needed, if you weren't a druid-monk.

Not having to spend multiple feats on WIS means the dragonshape form becomes part of the toolbox rather than a capstone feat. For example, a druid now can pick up epic spells - like EDK, Hellball, and G-ruin - while still being able to dragonshape.

And yes, not having a discipline class makes you KD bait. That's not an issue unique to druids.

If expressing your agreement with an update is a dig at the people negatively affected by it, so is the update itself.

However, I wouldn't turn a kudos thread into such a debate.

The pure druid's elemental forms are really great and more than make up for not having DS.

I'm still bummed that it's a useless feat for pure druids, but I'll get over it.

Pls more buffs to our spells now yes? <3

Also, Quoth, if you want to beat a weapon master, go pure druid. The fire elemental's biteback is wicked strong and you're immune to crits. :D

WMs are beatable in literally way too many ways.

Dragonshapers were beatable with...a lot of people, and provided an extremely unfair and unreasonable advantage to any faction hosting one. My only view on dragonshapers has been seeing them as an unstoppable source of lowbie bashing with a problem ever managing to kill someone high level.

a pretty disgusting thing for someone to keep around just to enforce for their faction, am I right?

As some who has played a dragon shaper.. Time to roll.

As someone who has played against a dragonshaper, about damn time.

And as someone tired of seeing people complain in the kudos forum..

A much needed change. Druid monk DSers in the past were virtually unbeatable, with their collection of already fairly potent totem summons, companion, and the DS to stack on top.

I rejoice that the days where you needed to grab 5 high epics to fight one or get roflstomped are over.

my favorite memory is watching Stath spend 30 RL minutes tryna take one of those down.
my second favorite memory is narrowly managing to escape Voidhawk's DSer after a 30 minute 5 vs 1  good times

With all the big class changes going on re-leveling needs to be made an easier thing to do in general

+1 to the class change kudos. It needed to be done.
Don't know if a relevel should be offered or not. I think all the dragon shapers are old outdated characters whose players should move on.
Same time, I think if a drastic change is made, a character whose entire concept was build around what was changed.. A remake SHOULD be allowed. I'm sure the team will come to an acceptable and fair decision.

*Edit*
Ranger buffs when though

Much needed nerf, this was announced many years ago also favoring pure druids several months ago in update was clear sign this would come. Epics still can delevel to 27 or 24, and take their 2-3 epic feats a new, on the other hand you get other tools and remain a dragonshape, also i really like Green Dragon stat and concept!

Damien Tagnik'Zurr (The Pathfinder) - Somewhere
