Magpie Kudos

Post by Dr_Hazard89 »

Magpie was one of my most beloved and oldest remaining characters. She's quite ancient. I rolled her just now and I would like to thank a few people for making her so enjoyable. I won't be able to thank everyone I want to, because the character is so old that I simply do not remember the names, and there have been so many interactions the list may never end.

Jenna. You were Maggie's best friend back in the day. Sleep overs. Cuddles. Adventures. Swoopin' punks. Mud wrestling. Eating people.

Red. You were a bro, a hoe, a damn fool and a cool dude.

Giogi. Best boss ever. The HUNDREDS of hours I spent behind the bar in the Nomad were very enjoyable back in the day. You did a great job at nurturing an environment for people to RP in.

Kainda Ogden. You helped bring Maggie out from the shadows and propped her up in front of people.

Lily something? Guard. You know who you are. Exchanging notes on bad guys. Sleep overs. Gossip.

Achuak'iejir Stormwind. The most mismatched friendship that somehow just worked, to everyone's confusion. So many hours spent together.

Kregor. The kindest voice of reason.

Andriarna Dirtytoes. She gave my character a second life after all her friends had gone. She brought Maggie into Bendir RP where she went on to achieve huge things, more than ever before. Getting the druid out of the wilderness and into a community was something I thought impossible for this character but you managed it. Andy became Maggie's bestest friend who she loves unconditionally. You let her lead the Hawk'in, make decisions, act as mayor in your absence, and simply opened the door to so much RP. I can never thank you enough for how inclusive you are. The way you get people involved in the fun is something worthy of ALL THE RPR BOOSTS IN THE WORLD. Andy has for the longest time been the mother of Bendir. Badger Badger. You really let me leave a mark on the game world.

Doili. The kindest sweet heart. A heart of gold. Always cared for the Earthkin. In Maggie's heart Doili will always be her Thane. The type of ally one could always rely on. Long live Doili!

Dazza. The nephew with such a story to share. It is difficult not to smile like a loon or shed a tear IRL with the quality of RP you bring to the table. Amazing.

Mithrim. The "Queen" of Myon :P The cutiepie who ate all Maggie's pies. The one elf not afraid of her cooking. They could have been married. So close ;)

Darrian Terringdale. When you're more heroic than you are smart.

Gragor. At first appearance an orc, but anyone who knew him, knew he was actually a hin. Honorary hin. With Gragor and Andy and the others we went on to build Greyhammer. First boy she smooched.

Might come back and add to this as my memory comes back. <3

Thanks to everyone for countless hours of fun and lovely memories. Playing this character was a journey.

Maggie. <3

Andy spent the night crying in her bed. (her player shed more than a few tears too)

There was serious thought given to settling down with Magpie for Andy. The love there was just amazing and the friendship and trust were sometimes all that got her through the madness that is the fort.

Badger Badger love.

Bendir Dale and Andy both lost a part of their soul with Maggie leaving for the green fields.

Thank you for letting me be a part of that transition and for all the years of fun and insanity we had. <3 <3

P.S. The worms weren't all that bad. ;)

I am pretty sure every single one of my PC"s met Magpie since I started playing here years ago, and I enjoyed every minute of her. This is sad to read about. She was a beloved PC'd and will be missed.

Holy gadzooks, I was still playing Meram when you made Maggie. Ancient, indeed.

Maggie will be missed, if only I got to play Arelith more before she died.

Aw I liked Maggie, though I only played with her on my last char - she was a great leader of the Hawk'n!
