After the connection issue was fixed, I noticed two things:
1. The crafting menu for forging no longer shows the titles of the different projects, such as “materials””battleaxe”, etc. it show the number of subcategories by the descriptive of “4 items.”
2. The language bug is gone from my perception. When my Dwarf character speaks, it shows the Dwa fish language in the information window and Common in the communication window.

It still shows torso head for the elven hunter, and I will be testing out the combat system shortly.
Further:
The corpses are not dropping anything, or just a weapon in the case of skeletons and skeleton priests.
Mining is functioning the same.
Lastly, the animals in the Quarry are dropping meat and hides. The winter wolf only drops blood of a magical creature.

Just a quick one from me... I might be doing something stupid but it seems like the rat tails cannot be handed in to the NPC outside the granary. The conversation happens as expected but no gold is given and the rat tail items are not taken.

For those of you on Steam who got 8165 forced on them, you can still play using the Beamdog client version as that one doesn't seem to have been updated yet. Can't find any patch notes about 8165 either.

Beamdog client does not download anything for me; truth be told I'm not running Windows, maybe that is the reason.

Not sure if it's different on the other OS' but in the Windows version you have to specifically select the Head Start from the dropdown. The non-headstart one just does nothing and says "Preloaded" or something.
(Read the following warning before doing) You can also easily reach you NWN install directory from steam by right clicking the game in your libary, click properties, Local Files tab, and click browse local files.
Warning: If you don't have 'update this game only when it starts' or another way to limit steam downloads, this will force the update.
I think there may be a glitch with the Dwarven Defender "Defensive Stance." My character is level 5 as a DD, and he was able to have 3 times per waking period to drop into "stance." Now it's showing "0" no matter how often I rest. Last it worked was yesterday before he died fighting the [super strong enemy]. Now, it stays "0." Any help is appreciated. No rush; he's now RPing that he has fallen into slight disfavor with his patron deity.

I stand corrected. It is working now. Not sure if it was something you all did, or the character dying while dealing with it in game. He has regained his DS. Thank you.
I was playing some more yesterday, and apparently I have to rest after logging back in to re-activate the Defensive Stance. It reports "0" when logging back in and "3" after resting. *shrugs*

In the middle of the Tundra location (west and west from Skal) there is something that triggers the teleport of a character to the northern location (and yet it is in the middle yes). Can someone check the transitions for the area?
It seems characters im making on the server aren't saving? Don't see them when in the list after i make them. It seems to be an issue since i tried to play it on steam. Maybe something to do with the steam public key vs beamdog client key not sure.

Nope, but if you did something it worked; as my characters are saving again. Made one and the one i had is keeping the level after leaving the server. thx
I did a more thorough look at the crafting—forging menu. There are quite a few forging choices missing from some of the categories, specifically those relating to exceptional metals, such as Mithral, greensteel, etc. is this intentional for RP? Thank you.

I imagine the crafting recipes not matching what is currently on 1.69 NWN has to do with different databases. EE likely still uses an older one, and will reflect all changes once EE is the main server.

I think Stickycombat must be turned on cause when I try yo use Parry both my PC and the mod he's fighting all freeze up until I turn Parry off again. Not the only possibility of course but first old glitch that comes to mind that sounds right
The child Skaljard Villager in Skal (Dun Umra) Skaljard Village (The Longhouse) seems fond of wandering into the public resting room. This is super awkward.
Spoke to Rathunter Wynne with rat tails in inventory. Selected "I've earned that coin , all right. [Turn in Rat Tails and Collect Pay]" but nothing happened - no gold or xp, rat tails remain in inventory.
