Kossuth Update

Post by CragOneEye »

Kossuth
Greater Diety
Symbol: A twining red fame
Home Plane: Elemental Plane of Fire
Portfolio: Elemental fire, purification through fire
Worshipers: Druids, elemental archons, fire creatures, Thayans
Cleric Alignments: CN, LE, LG, LN, N, NE, NG
Domains: Destruction, Fire, Renewal, Suffering
Favoured Weapon; Tendril of Flame (spiked chain)

Cited from page 35 of Faiths and Pantheons source book.

In light of the above, (no pun intended) can we have it so Kossuth not only grants piety from tending plants but also grants piety from killing things.

The Lord of Flames is as much deity of life and rebirth as it is of death and destruction. Also I would note other deities of destruction such as Bane grant piety for killing things. More over Cyric grants piety for both every bluff check that succeeds as he does for every monster you kill.

This would also fit the RP more for Thayan worshipers of Kossuth instead of druid worshipers.

What I should have said is can we ADD the aspect of destruction to his piety ie ADD killing things to gain piety so other worshipers ie thayans specifically, but non-druids and rangers in general had a way to earn piety other than trying to find a cleric of kossuth that creates altars.

I think it goes against the intended system to have a deity that gets piety from two sources.

EDIT: I take it all back! There are major deities out there with two sources of piety already. I'm still not sure I see Kossuth granting piety though for tending your garden. ;)
